You know, if you match with somebody you can offer a trade, like what they offer accept, don't like it, decline, nothing lost.
Back in Sword and Shield when it was 4 digit codes I used to roam with my birth year active, so Code 1989.
I had some home bred Grookeys to trade, 4-5 max IVs. One time I matched with a guy. He offered a Shiny Honedge.
Now I was thinking, "A Shiny Homedge for a 4-5IV Grookey, that's a tad weighted in my favour, but I'll accept. If they accept thats cool. If not, nothing ventured nothing gained"
To my surprise they accepted as well. I watched the animation as my Grookey was sent half way accross the world and my new Shiny Honedge was sent to me.
I decided to offer up one of my home bred Scorbunnys, And they offered up the Grookey I traded them. That's a bit ungrateful to want a trade back the 5IV Grookey I got from you right after the trade. They declined that trade. Theres no way to communicate with other players during a link, no microphone, no chat box. MAYBE they were wanting to trade the Grookey for my Shiny Honedge. I was thinking, well, my Shiny Honedge for your Grookey, that's a little bit weighted in your favour isn't it. I'm not going to put the Shiny Honedge up for trade.
I put something else up for trade, they offered the Grookey up again, then declined. I thought, well, we can't talk, even if they do want to trade for the Shiny Honedge I can't communicate, ask what they have to offer for it, we'll get nowhere. So I disconnected. A Shiny Honedge in my inventory.
They went away equally happy with a 5IV Grookey in their party. I wonder if it's a Rillaboom now, and the MVP of their team.
Is this normal/acceptable behaviour?
