Obviously in SWSH it's impossible to obtain marked starters because they aren't encounterable in the wild. I want to know if the hack checks have been updated to allow these new marked starter Pokemon.

Pretty sure it’ll be fine. I don’t think they ever had a check for marks
It’s ok if use a non shiny starter to test this right?

Update: after spending 2 hours to get the coastal  biome upgrade and another hour and a half to get a marked grooky I’ve finally got everything I need to test this. I’ll test this later once I have internet.

The other answer lacked any kind of source so I decided to test this myself. To test this I got a grookey from the coastal biome with the uncommon mark. Then I sent it to Pokemon shield and traded it to a friend. The game let me trade it just fine meaning it passed the hack checks. So yes a shiny marked starter from gen 9 is legal in sword/shield

Yes its fine as long as the Pokemon is not a brand new Pokemon and is compatible with the game you are transferring it to
