Is there any reason Emma doesn't touch her Key Stone when she Mega Evolves?

Question

As far as I know, all other NPCs in ZA touch their Key Stone when Mega Evolving, but Emma spreads out her arms, and the stone lights up.

Is there a lore reason that comes up in XY that explains this (eg. her Expansion Suit, her bond with her... Malamar?)? Or am I just wasting people's time?

I think this is answerable, if there’s a plotpoint that explains it. If there isn’t a known reason, I think stating that is a valid answer
