I don’t believe it was a coincidence. They very likely had their reasons.
I believe if it was removed because of the pandemic, they would’ve removed it in BDSP, during the pandemic, not after the pandemic.
I believe it’s more likely they removed it because there’s better and easier ways to EV train, and the mechanic is obscure and hard to achieve naturally. Most people who have it, got it through a trade from an hacked Pokemon on the wondertrade, and store a Pokemon with it in their PC to mass pass it along to others.
There’s simply no reason for PokeRUS anymore with vitamins being an easier method and money being readily available, a contrast to when it was first introduced where ways to boost EVs and get money were limited.
You’re entitled to your opinions, but to post them as a fact, in an answer, with no source, is silly.
I downvoted this because this question did not ask for an opinion or suggestions on why it was removed. You added it unnecessarily, and added a source which makes it look credible, when in actuality it’s a Reddit thread with one mention of it in a comment, with no thought or source behind that. This contributes to the spread of misinformation.
If this question were about why, or if you even had more details to back up the thought, it may have been credible. But your opinion on the matter is unwarranted here
