Kyogre speaks with what seems to be a Southern US accent in the English version of Pokopia, which was pretty funny and unexpected.

The game is offered in 8 other languages—Japanese, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese—does Kyogre have an identifiable accent in the other versions or did they only do this in English?

I wonder if he has a Kansai Accent in the jpn ver
I've been told that the original Japanese Kyogre uses old people pronouns and honorifics, not a regional accent.
I was also wondering about Kansai since it  would've explained the Southern accent, despite it also being kind of an unexpected choice for Kyogre. The use of old-fashioned language makes sense though since Kyogre is supposed to be ancient.

I'm so curious where the Southern accent stemmed from since it's not really associated with marine themes nor is it archaic. Maybe I just didn't know Kyogre very well but I never envisioned it as being so laid back lol, especially considering the whole feud with Groudon...
I guess this Kyogre is different. He was farming peaches in his past life. He just doesn't know it...
The southern accent sounds close enough to stereotypical sailor speak.
As a southerner does this make me a sailor?
interestingly this reminds me of a character that DOES speak in a southern accent who speaks the kansai dialect so that is what i immediately assumed seeing this
