PokéBase - Pokémon Q&A

What I mean isn't, "What are some Mixed Attacking Pokemon", because that could easily be things like Lucario and Infernape (Pokemon that can use Physical and Special moves on the same set), I'm moreso asking about Pokemon with relatively close ATK & SPA, and who learn enough moves to fulfill either a Physical or Special set. Things like Nidoking who can either run a straight Physical set with ground attacks, or a Special set with Sheer Force, Life Orb, and BoltBeam + Flamethrower & Earth Power. Basically, "Pokemon who can run Physical or Special sets". Besides Nidoking, the only other Pokemon I can think of is Tyranitar (and apparently that's less because it's good, and more because it's a surprise depending on the metagame).

- The examples given here are confusing. Special Nidoking is strictly better than physical, which is never used at the top level. Infernape is a way better example of mons with "close Atk/SpA who learn enough moves to fulfil either".
This is for competitive, right? What format/rules is it asking about?

It depends on the gamemode and generation and all that but here's some generally applicable (none specifically defense-oriented cus that ruins the point) Pokemon with good mixed offensive stats and have been seen running both physical and special sets:
Arceus and Silvally (obviously)
Hoopa Unbound
Dragapult
Iron Valiant
Mega Diancie if you're creative enough
Kyurem
Kommo-o
Salamence
Aegislash
Basculegion
Regidrago

These aside, Lucario and Infernape are in fact able to fulfill both physical and special attacking roles. Nidoking's physical sets are significantly lower in usage and effectiveness when compared to its special set, so it can't really perform well as a physical attacker. Also, do note that there are of course many other Pokemon with close attack and special attack stats and decent movepools to match, but that would require a much more exhaustive list that would ultimately be rather ineffective if you were seeking mixed attackers for a team.
