What is the most optimal way to get shiny Archen in Pokémon White?

Question

With the shutdown of Pokémon bank next year I want a shiny ribbon master of the best Pokémon (archeops). What this question boils down to is: Is breeding or restoring a fossil faster for getting shiny archen.

EDIT: Also if it happens to save a lot of time what’s the fastest way in Pokémon Y?

you can breed archen, its in the flying and water 3 egg group if you don't have a ditto. Don't know if that's the best way though.

I think the fastest way is to trade over 5 Plume Fossils and then revive 5 per reset. But that might be a bit difficult, with the fossils being once-per-save. If you're able to do Masuda Method, that's probably faster than reviving one fossil per reset, otherwise resetting is almost definitely faster than hatching eggs if both are at full odds. I'd need to time how long it takes for a reset vs egg hatching to say for sure, though.
