Yep. Firetyperuler basically got it. You have to wait until the maintenance is over; but it's not like your Pokemon will go to sleep forever!
There are no worries.
Also keep in mind and be aware of the fact that Global Link regularly has maintenances every Tuesdays including the occasional important maintenances that come time to time.
