Evs gone wrong or what?

My pokemon was hoding power bracer and fought lv 2 lillipup but got only 2 attack evs. on other pokemon I got 5 just with power bracer. Lillipups and ptrats should give you another 5 evs on attack. However with power bracer and patrat, I got only 2 attack evs. Anyone know the case?

How did you come to the conclusion that they got that exact amount of EVs?
There is no way to tell how many a Pokemon has except by writing, and by talking to the girl which only notifies you when all 510 EVs are maxed.

This has been answered many times before. You don't get all the EVs at once, they are gradually added each level up to level 100.
