Is EV training worth it?

Question

NOT OPINION. If I am to only play single player pokemon games, no competitive multiplayer, is the effort of Ev training going to give me a significant enough advantage over the AI in the game to make it worth it?

Not really, unless you plan on defeating the E-4 under-leveled there is not much point in EV training. Though when in Competitive you will fail without EVs. They are a very important part of competitive, but in-game not so much.

Source: I have experience in Competitive and beat the games many times without taking the time to EV train.
