Well here is Absols stats compared to another OU Pokemon... Scizor! my personal favourite but I am sure Absol (user) would like a say in this.
Absols Stats:

ATTACK 130 238 - 394
DEFENSE 60 112 - 240
SP. ATK 75 139 - 273

Scizors stats:
HP 70 250 - 344
ATTACK 130 238 - 394
DEFENSE 100 184 - 328
SP. ATK 55 103 - 229
SP. DEF 80 148 - 284
SPEED 65 121 - 251
TOTAL 500
Well Absols Attack stat is equal with Scizors but Absol does have better Sp Attack stats so it depends if you are using Sp Attack moves or general Attack moves. Use Absol for Special Attacks but if you dont use Sp Attacks then go for it as a 'technique master' as you call it
