Focus Sash + Thief/Knock Off?

Question

OK, say that you use Thief or Knock Off on a Pokemon with a Focus Sash. Will the Focus Sash take effect or not? If you know what I'm saying...

The focus sash only works when the Pokemon is at full HP, and its a one time use. Meaning you will have to be at full HP for it to take effect anyways. And I doubt a Knock Off is going to OHKO you anyways. But if for some reason it did yes the focus sash will keep you alive.
