Meta-PokéBase Q&A

Joking aside, but if that's possible let me know, I'll get right on that ;P
The question I have is related tho.
I've used the site for move sets for a while now, and just recently joined the community. I really like it here and plan on sticking around for a while, maybe even work my way around to become a moderator someday, so here is my question: is there a less tedious way to accumulate points?

Really, this system is just really hard to work with. I've read the FAQ about the points system, but it still leaves questions to be answered.
Why aren't the points shared between the three microsections of the site?
If I want to write on someone's wall, up vote a determinate question, or even write on my personal wall, why can't I do that even if I reached the minimum points necessary in another section of the site?
Does that mean that I have to accumulate enough points in every section?
So what if someone is a moderator?
Are you a moderator only on the sections where you have reached the determinated amount of points?
What if a moderator doesn't have enough points in the RMT section, does he have to wait for another moterator to check and approve his question/answer?
What if someone reaches an absurds amount of points, say 50 thousands, does he become the NEXT Pokemaster and start ruling this site with an iron fist?
I'm rambling at this point obviously, but if I could get an answer to at least the first four questions that would be great!
Thanks guys!

Yes you can usurp Pokemaster, but you must gather 8 of the strongest in the realm: 3 other Hobbits, a wizard, a dwarf, an elf and 2 men, and finally you will be a part of 9. You must then proceed to throw the ring into the volcano on Mount Doom and bring peace back to Middle Earth.

That's what I read, anyway.
That sounds needlessly complicated.
Can't I just have a giant eagle drop me at the volcano instead ?
You could also opt for a walking carpet, scruffy-looking Nerf herder, a princess,  a trash can, goldilocks and an insecure joung Jedi with a ghost telling him what to do. This may be easier to aquire than Hobbits, who rarely wish to leave the comforts of home.
Sorry Astro, they sound like a stellar bunch of good fellows, and they might be the companions I deserve, but they are not the ones I need right now.
I understand, Torym. With great teammates, comes great responsibility.

If you rank up enough, do you get to usurp Pokemaster or something?

You can pass him in points, but that's about all you can do.

Why aren't the points shared between the three microsections of the site?

It shows your contributation to each individual section I guess.

If I want to write on someone's wall, up vote a determinate question, or even write on my personal wall, why can't I do that even if I reached the minimum points necessary in another section of the site?

I'm pretty sure this isn't intentional. If it is, someone can edit and explain.

Does that mean that I have to accumulate enough points in every section?

Yes.

So what if someone is a moderator?

They gain a ton of extra privileges, such as the ability to view special pages and the ability to ban users.

Are you a moderator only on the sections where you have reached the determinated amount of points?

Moderator isn't earned with points, they are hand picked by Pokemaster - same goes for editors like myself. If you receive a promotion, you receive it globally, so no, you don't need to earn it in each and every section. That'd be stupid.

What if a moderator doesn't have enough points in the RMT section, does he have to wait for another moterator to check and approve his question/answer?

Not sure, but I don't believe that the ability to pass moderation is included in moderator privileges, so yes, if they don't meet points requirement, their posts would have to be checked. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I guess this also means they'd be able to check their own posts for approval. ;P

What if someone reaches an absurds amount of points, say 50 thousands, does he become the NEXT Pokemaster and start ruling this site with an iron fist?

Nope. You can't overthrow Pokemaster, it seems. There are people who've reached 60k and nothing has happened. ;P

Fizz, seriously, you are all over the place!
You have answered all of my questions so far, you're great!

(I would upvote your answer, but you see, I don't have ENOUGH POINTS in THIS section of the site to do it. :/
I'll do it as soon as I can tho, I promise)
EDIT: JESUS!  Mewderator has almost 68 thousands points.  How is that even possible?  Does he live here?
Mewderator is actually a man-slaughtering robot.
But experts are earned by points, 6k points
