Not sure if I am doing something wrong, but when I go to put an image from the sprite gallery into a post, this text comes up after pasting the link to the image

" alt="" title="" />

If I leave it the image does not show in the post and If I remove the text it does not show either.

^ This is in the editing section but if I delete it the image does not show.

Are you using the right link? Click the sprite and scroll down to see the Markdown for Pokebase option like so [![Pikachu](https://img.pokemondb.net/sprites/diamond-pearl/normal/pikachu-f.png)](http://pokemondb.net/pokedex/pikachu)
As you know there are tools for formatting. Click the tool that says 'Code Sample'. Whatever you put there will not be recognize as formatting and will be shown as plain text, so we can see the exact code you're using.

I think what you are doing is clicking the image button and pasting the code from the sprite page into there. You don't need to do that, you just paste it straight into your post. For example

[![Scizor](https://img.pokemondb.net/sprites/black-white/normal/scizor-f.png)](http://pokemondb.net/pokedex/scizor)

Will come out as

Scizor

The image button is for when you only have the URL of an image, like
https://img.pokemondb.net/sprites/black-white/normal/scizor-f.png
