Does Pokemaster want to inform visitors, attract visitors, make money, or something else?

by
To create a big smiling happy community?

Now that I think about it, I don't think we've heard of Pokemaster's motives for making this site. The earliest we learn is in the about section where it says this started out as a test site, but I'm not sure he made a test for this website, or as an exercise for himself.

This sounds like a leading question given your other questions on here... but anyway.

I think it’s answered in the about section but the purpose of the site is to present Pokemon information in an easy-to-read format. Without wishing to sound arrogant I think PokemonDb has one of the best designs for usability and finding what you need quickly. I’ve had many comments/emails from people that agree. [ Insert disclaimer that it’s not perfect so you don’t complain ;) ]

Gekky’s question is perhaps answered by this sentence on the old designs page:

It started life as a project to showcase information (such as countries of the world) in a simple and easy to read format.

Originally it was just going to be part of another site but I realised there was so much information that I could add, it made sense to make it a separate site.

I really do agree that this site does look better than other Pokémon sites.
What was the other site?
This layout is clean and effective, but why do we not have a Dark Mode?
@Rick theming is something I want to do at some point. It’s a little complicated to do with the way the site is set up, but I’ll get around to it eventually.
Nice to hear it's being worked on
