It's something I've been thinking lately. None of us really know PokeMaster on a personal level. Which means, we also don't know a lot about his interests, finances, and personal life in general.

So, it's very possible that something may happen in life where PM is forced to give up the site. Maybe one day he'll grow out of Pokemon and doesn't want to run the site anymore. There's so many possibilities.

What would happen? Would you try to sell the site to a regular user here or something? Would you delete it? If there's a financial issue, would you try to "upgrade" the site I'm which users can buy extensions or something?

What would you do if you sell it to a rando who misuses the site? Would you try to stop them, or rebuy it? Or just leave it be?

Basically I'm asking every "what if" scenario possible.

Also sorry if this is sort of intrusive, i know it isn't my business and that's not my intention, for some reason I'm just really paranoid about this site's future
Obviously he's not gonna sell it to a random kid in the chat room. If PM ever gave up the website he'd probably give it to some company.
Plus, if he ever lost interest to the point of letting go of the site, I doubt he'd care if the new owner ruined it. Wouldn't really be his business anymore (if he even noticed).
If anything, I'd guess that the mods will be the ones to inherit the site. It should be obvious why
The mods absolutely wouldn't be the ones to inherit the site lol. Mods come and go like other users. Plus, PM makes money from this site. How would it be decided who gets that money now? Or would PM still just make the money but we do everything else, including the programming?

It'd be sold to a company or a specific person. No one would 'inherit' it most likely.
Likewise, because i love this site, if it went up for sale I'd consider buying it just to keep it the same for everyone, but i know nothing about coding or programming so i'd have to look into hiring people for those things if i did, which may be a hassle (and frankly, expensive)
Just take some HTML/CSS/JS computer Science classes, lol.

Or don’t, if that’s not your thing. I wouldn’t suggest owning a site like this nor hiring people to help you code it if you don’t know enough programming to use a back door. If site ownership changed to someone like PM rather than a company, I’d hope they’d follow through with the open source plan so people like Fizz, KRLW, and maybe even sumwun can work on site changes as well. But I’d rather PM do that himself.

I know the basics, but I definitely do not know enough, nor have the experience to own a sight like this, though I may see what I can do to help whenever PM finishes making the site an open source project like he suggested a while back.
