Is it OK to ask a question about a pokemon's EV spread even with the existence of "good moveset" page?

A lot of entries and answers on the "good moveset" threads are not updated to the current meta. I'm wondering if, even though these threads do provide competitive EV spreads, if it would be OK, meaning, is it a violation of the rules, if I ask a question to get suggestions for an EV spread for the current meta?

I'd think it would be much easier just to go to Smogons page.  Alternatively, you could post your entire team on RMT and ask for advice there, but who knows if you'll get an answer.
