Making this as a PSA to recent changes made to the website. Now, you need 30 points to be able to edit your profile and use the chatroom. This is in response to a spam problem the site has recently encountered, and at this point, we’re not sure if the change is permanent or temporary. However, we understand that the change has impacted valid users who do not have 30+ points.
Post an answer here if you’re struggling to obtain the 30 points. I’ll give you an upvote on the answer here (and only here) so that you can have the permissions to use chat and edit your profile (at least on meta). I will hide your answer here once you’ve obtained an upvote.
