Shameless plug: Fizz made a Pokemon website! (a usage stats viewer called Gatrstats)

Question

Although it may fit better on Smogon than here, I like this site more. So you're getting it first.

Gatrstats is a competitive Pokemon usage stats browser! It's based on source data from smogon.com/stats, which is itself based on ladder matches from the main server of Showdown.

Lemme know how you like it and if you run into any issues. I have no idea how the server will cope with this being public. Hopefully it's smooth and the CDN will take away some of the load.

Some tips for how to use it:

1. Once you've chosen a format, type anywhere to search for a Pokemon, then hit enter to open it. You can also use arrow keys to move up/down.
2. Click on a Pokemon anywhere to view its stats. Click on other things to customise the "suggested moveset", which you can copy easily.
3. Ctrl+click items, abilities, etc to open them in Smogon's strategy dex.
4. The usage trend graph is interactive! Hover the dots to see more info, and click them to visit that month instantly.
5. Links are copyable and sharable! For example, here's Pecharunt's stats for Gen 9 OU in March 2026 weighted for 1695 Glicko (rating points).
6. The website prefetches data for the top 100 Pokemon in the month/format/rank you're viewing, so switching between those Pokemon is instant. There's a slight delay for the rest.

For all the time I've spent telling people off for using AI, this site definitely wouldn't exist if Claude hadn't written 90% of the code. So there I guess!

Really glad you guys are enjoying it! (and that it's still working...)
There's a few little things I wanna fix before I show it to the pedants on Smogon, so stay tuned for some minor GUI and feature updates.

And yeah, aware this isn't the first website to leverage this data set. All the existing ones are great but I had some grievance with each one that kept me from coming back. I wanted this to have Porydex's historical/trend data, Munchstats's layout concept, Pikalytics's web app feel, etc all in one.

It's closed source and will probably remain so, but all the secrets for how it figures out the data come from: https://github.com/smogon/usage-stats (which are the scripts that spit data out to smogon.com/stats)
Most of its supporting data is from https://www.npmjs.com/package/@pkmn/dex and the main Showdown server (live). It polls its sources daily, pulls down anything new/different it sees, then commits changes to the database. The frontend is a single JS file that just asks the server for whatever data based on what you clicked, then makes it look nice.

Time for a new feature...

Usage-based SPEED TIERS have been added to Gatrstats!

If you don't know what speed tiers are, it's when you make a table of actual speed stats from Pokemon that are popular in a given competitive format. The table considers factors like EVs/SPs, natures and boosts, which helps you choose how many points to invest in Speed and whether a boosting nature is worth it.

The problem is speed tiers are usually done manually. This requires a lot of work, and it risks the end product becoming outdated or missing important entries.

Never again with this new mode! It leverages the existing Gatrstats dataset to bring monthly, usage-based speed tiers. This ensures the currency and relevance of the data. It also brings speed tiers to life for heaps of formats that have never seen them before.

You can use the filters to tailor the results to your liking. For example, if you don't want to see shitmons, increase the minimum usage filter! There's even a custom Pokemon you can add to the table, so you can easily count how many EVs you need to outspeed 252+ Kingambit.

Try it out and let me know if you notice any issues! This mode requires a bit more grunt than the main Pokemon area but it should be OK on modern devices.

wow fizz automatic speed teirs are revolutionary. you should find an outdated speed teir list on Smogon forums and tell them yours is better.

also how about a Gatrstats browser extension? You could make a thing where when you have the extension, a box that says "Likely movesets- Generated by gatrstats" it added the the bottom of all the data that appears when you hover your mouse over a mon in showdown.
