Add a previous username part to profiles?

All you have to do is say: Formerly _______. Look at my profile. It says: Formerly MeW2011.

Yeah, well most people don't bother to do that. Most people don't even put anything on their profiles.

The name change question lists all recent changes, which are kept visible for a week or so after a user changes their name.

It's enough effort as it is to change people's names, I'm not going to add previous names to their profile or anything. Just put it in your profile yourself to avoid any confusion.
