Alright, I’m done with Pokémon for today. Here’s what happened:
-Getting annoyed by all the cutscenes...
-I rolled the die and got a 2. Which means I got a Rowlet. Named him Ollen.
-Fought Hau. What a joke lol.
-Caught a Pikipek, named him Flar.
-Got Ollen’s affection up to 3 hearts in the first hour of gameplay.
-HOW THE HECK ARE THERE SO MANY CRITS
-Swept Hau again.
-Caught a Yungoos and named her Toungetape (don’t ask).
-Rotom Dex!
-Finished today in the first Pokémon Center.

In order to make me think of my Pokémon as fun characters rather than inanimate pixels, I gave them personalities based off of their nature and characteristic:

Ollen: Male Rowlet
Feels pressured due to being the starter and working extra hard at training.

Flar: Male Pikipek
Enjoys battling but always worries about losing, about failing his trainer.

Toungetape: Female Yungoos
Not a big fan of grinding. A picky eater.

-While fighting a Zangoose who was dancing with swords, it killed Taco with a critical hit.
"-You can feel my anger and sadness. (A SECOND KILLING CRITICAL HIT?? FIRST WOLFRIR AND NOW TACO?? YOU ALSO NEARLY KILLED SQUSH, HUSHIE, AND WORMY WITH CRITICAL HITS AS WELL.)
-I kicked the claws off of Zangoose after that."

RIP Taco and Zangoose.

So you’ve inspired me to do a nuzlocke...
As I type this, I am starting a Moon nuzlocke. The normal rules apply, but I added a “use a dice to pick your starter” because why not. I’ll let you know what happens when I finish playing for today.
