Also you know that usually you can't get national Pokedex Pokemon before defeating the champion, right? If you can't use them for defeating the champion or for competitive battles, then why not remove the national Pokedex?

Eh, both sides of the national dex dispute have been pretty awful. I'm just holding out hope they'll release the others through post-launch updates, which would be the ideal compromise between the launch date and giving us the game we want.
