We honestly thought you were a troll at first. I personally no longer think that, as I've seen a lot of effort on your end to improve. Part of being a moderator on a forum is being stern and strict, which can definitely cause some hate, so we aren't offended by that in the least; part of the job is to be hated at times :P  I believe it's also part of the job to guide and listen, imo, which is why we decided to keep an open mind towards you even when we thought you were a troll. I think it's very important for me to treat everyone as human regardless of the circumstance. I'm sorry for being so harsh in the beginning, it definitely wasn't personal.

Fizz is one tough cookie for sure. He's been a mod since like.. 2014? He's kind of like my boss. He's promoted me and gave me countless chances since I joined and rejoined the site. He makes most of the final decisions (although the rest of the team also has a say, he takes initiative) regarding the site, especially the tough ones, like the rules, promotions and bans. Since he's the one in charge, it's important for him to be strict, although he's seriously a good guy who cares a lot about the site. It's a lot easier to like him when you realize he's just doing his job as the big boss. I may be Fizz's biggest fan, but it's the honest truth when I say don't be afraid to approach him. If you approach him sincerely, he will reciprocate. He's someone you want on your side.

Yeah -- PX was a mod for many years. She did some things off the site that we felt wasn't appropriate for someone of highest authority, and we wanted to act in the best interest in the site. The rest of the details of what happened are confidential, but trust the staff team will always act in the best interest of the site.

and why thank you. I try to be approachable. I can be pretty scary and serious when needed, though :P

Yes.
- We usually demote inactive staff members. If a mod retires, they usually get demoted to Editor.
- Editors don't usually get demoted. If an Editor retires, they usually stay Editor. I believe some have been demoted to Expert, though.
- We have demoted and banned an Editor and a Moderator before. They went from their ranks to Registered User.
- We freely have the ability to give and remove expert as seen fit. I have promoted and demoted BM "for fun" before, lol.
