Faller S24 pt 2
(Elsewhere in Poni Canyon. In one area, Gladion and Shayla are together. In a completely different area, Kiara and X are together.)
Area A (Gladion and Shayla)
Gladion: Ungh, that hurt. (he's flat on his back covered in dust) Achoo! (apparently he is allergic to dust)
Shayla: (telepathically) Speak for yourself. (somehow, she's suspended by rocks dangling from the ceiling)
Gladion: I was speaking for myself. How in the name of Arceus did you get up there?
Shayla: Meh, it's a skill.
Gladion: Can we Skill Swap?
Shayla: Oh, look, he has a sense of humor after all! And, no, I don't how to use Skill Swap. My best talents are Psychic, Psywave, Sky Attack, and Aerial Ace. My fifth talent is ceiling dangling.
Gladion: You sound like X.
Shatya: (wagging her tail in a mock bow) Thank you, thank you, I’ll be here all night! (she makes "mwah" sounds like she's air kissing an audience)
Gladion: Oh wow, you and X really are Shax. Pika was right. I hope Pika and the others are okay. And by the way, Shayla, you will not be there all night. (just as he finishes talking, the rocks suspending Shayla give way, and before she can regain her balance, she is flat on her back as Gladion was moments before)
Shayla: Hey! I'm supposed to be the Psychic! (she indignantly flaps her wings)
Gladion: Well, anyway, I hope you have a sixth talent like... oh, I don't know, maybe one that can help us find the others?
Shayla: Sure! I’ll use my amazing Psychic powers to sense them.
Area B (Kiara and X)
Kiara: Monferno! Come out please! (she's whispering, Monferno pops out of his Poké Ball and lights his tail on fire, which is fine as he's a Fire-Type) Helloo? Is anyone else here?
X: (muffled because he is face planted beside Kiara) Nope, just me, yay, you, and Monferno. (it sounds more like "nofe just fe, fay fou and ferno")
Kiara: Um, you know, you could get up.
X: (still face planted) I would if I could. I think I’m being crushed. (sounds like "wou if cou I hink I'm eing rushed")
Kiara: Oooh, lemme see. (Monferno lights X's general direction, and sure enough, he's under a bit of rubble)
X: (faceplanted) Please help me, this dirt is gross. (sounds like "ease elp e his irt is ross")
Kiara: Course I'm gonna help! Monferno, use Rock Smash!
X: What! (sounds like "HAT!", and with the rocks gone, X gets up) That was horrible!
Kiara: I was just helping.
X: I meant being facedown in the dirt. But wasn't using Rock Smash a bit risky?
Kiara: Monferno has good aim.
X: Lucky me, then.
Kiara: Ya know, we oughta look for the others... (just then, she hears a familiar voice)
Voice: C'mon, Mallory, let's move before Kaul can fully recover!
Another voice: Uh-huh!
Kiara: Hey, X! I think I hear Pika and Mallory!
X: Yeah! Let's go see. (Kiara and X dash out the front of the cave-like room they were in, and there is Pika, Mallory, and Paul though Paul is lagging behind Pika and Mallory)
Kiara: PAUL, MALLORY, PIKA! Over here! (Mallory dashes over to Kiara and they are locked in a sisterly embrace)
Mallory: (telepathically) Kiki! I was stuck under boulders! Pika got me out though, but Paul didn't even care!
Kiara: Kiki? Aw, well, thanks, Pika. And what do you mean, "Paul didn't care"?
Paul: I did too care, but how was I supposed to help you when I was also being pinned down?
Pika: Oh, wah. You weren't UNDER BOULDERS, YOU were only under A SINGLE ROCK that wasn't BURYING YOU. It was ONLY ON YOUR ARM. Oh, hi, X! (she winks at X) Heey, where's Gladion?
Gladion: (a ways back, but with Shayla's guidance, making fast progress) Over here!
Piha: GLADION! (she runs to him, hugs him, and kisses him on the cheek, Gladion doesn't fight but looks shocked)
Shayla: X!!!!!!!!! (she flies over, tackling him to the ground while Mallory follows suit, attacking Kiara)
X: Oof, yay, I was missed.
Shayla: Duh.
Paul: Uhhhh...
