Yet another untested team that yet again i had planned over the holiday.
Though i only planned 4 pokemon 2 of which are not being used now but i have kept my core and built around it.
So far the synergy is good i have word up with all my weaknesses and threats all of which are countered.
Im sad i know but recently i havent been having the best of look when batteling probably just my crappy teams but anyhow this one looks good to me.
Ninetails (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Drought
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Speed
Timid Nature (+Speed, -Atk)
-Nasty Plot
-Flamethrower
-Energy Ball
-Hidden Power [Fight]
Weather setter giving insane power to my core.
I ususally suck at sun but im guessing thats because i just cant use this pokemon hopefully this set suits me better.
Flamethrower with stab and sun will do almost super effective equivilent damage on a neutral pokemon.
Hp fight will ko Tyranitar and Energy Ball should be at least a 2hko on Politoed.
Tangrowth (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Speed
Naughty Nature (+Atk, -SDef)
-Growth
-Power Whip
-Hidden Power [Fire]
-Earthquake
You may never see aTangrowth being used again :'(
Why he isnt used im not sure his offence is better than Venasaur, his set up is easyer thanks to bulk, same movepool, no weakness to ground and psychic but because of the lower speed Venasaur is prefered along with the other chlorophyll sweepers.
Apparently 398 speed isnt quik enough.
It may not outspeed +1 Salamance but it does outspeed Gyarados and Dragonite i think.
Either way this pokemon hits hard and will plow through all weather setters.
Latias (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 Hp / 4 Def / 252 Speed
Timid Nature (+Speed, -Atk)
-Roar
-Thunder Wave
-Recover
-Dragon Pulse
Origionally my team was based around using pokemon like chandeluere who are not particuly quik then a quik pokemon that could paralyse an entire team but Jolteon wasnt going to do the job with low Def so i dropped the idea untill i came around this set which can phaze pokemon out then cripple.
Usually you have Roar, Roost, Dragon Pulse and protect but it didnt seem right and why Roost is there im not entirely sure.
Either way its weaknesses are covered by Forretress which is handy because they both form a core in itself.
Forretress (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Hp / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
-Stealth Rocks
-Spikes
-Rapid Spin
-Gyro Ball
Hazards and spin support also making the pysichally defensive part of my defensive core.
I would use Volt Switch but i want it to be able to ko Terrakion.
Not much more to say really but once rocks and spikes are up i cant imagine any pokemon bulky enough to take my chandy's flamethrower.
Chandelure (F) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 Hp / 252 SAtk / 252 Speed
Timid Nature (+Speed, -Atk)
-Shadow Ball
-Flamethrower
-Hidden Power [Fight]
-Energy Ball
2 Pokemon with a weakness to Fire, or in my view 2 pokemon as bait.
389 SAtk with sun, stab, Specs and possible Flash Fire boost.....
Im liking it already, hp fight will take care of Tyranitar and more importantly Heatran.
Energy Ball hits bulky water pokemon and most importantly quag and gastrodon.
Flamethrower will hurt in rain....
Dragonite (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 72 HP / 252 Atk / 184 Speed
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
-Dragon Dance
-Fire Punch
-Dragon Claw
-Extreme Speed
Okay full speed isnt needed really because at full speed how many pokemon is it outspeeding? about 4-5 more max than i am using 184 speed.
184 speed gives me 242 speed so i outspeed all of the base 70 pokemon and when +1 i have 361 speed which is 1 better than Starmie.
2 DDs are easy to set up so no need for max speed especially when set up is easy with more bulk.
Anyway Extreme Speed is over Earthquake because of Breloom and Toxicroak trying to outmatch me but i doubt i will see much trouble with Toxicroak in sun.
Anyway im finished i hope you like, tell me what you think and if you have a gen5 damage calculater please could you work this out-
Chandelure 252 Satk, Timid, Choice Specs Flamethrower on 252Hp 252Def Hippowdon then 252Hp 252SDef Hippowdon.
Then if you have time try same situation with Fire Blast then same again with flamethrower and Flash fire boost, i seem to have a hippowdon problem.
