Pokémon Rate My Team

So yeah I'm trying to get back into the competitive side of Pokemon and where better to start than Ou.
I've published 3 Ou teams in the last 2 weeks or so and I'm hoping to post more in the coming future.
As stated before when using weather i don't go complete standard, because lets face it you battle the same team over and over, so many Pokemon to abuse rain and you only ever see 10 at most ever being used.

I've been planning this team for a while trying to get the perfect rain team and i know this certainly isn't perfect but it is a brilliant start to adapt from.
I will probably end up re posting an updated version of this team in the near future, and hopefully in the coming few weeks i will have some good success.

So far the team has good synergy, i see no major weak points or holes in the team.
I would really appreciate if someone could post feedback on changes, an answer would also be nice but im trying to take this team more seriously than others.

Team Preview

Politoed @ Leftovers
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Modest Nature
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Focus Blast

Ah the weather starter, used on almost all Ou teams it seems.
I've gone for an offensive set but not to offensive.
Scald is stab boosted by rain, hopefully i can get a burn off it as well.
Focus Blast kills Tyranitar and provides good general coverage, same goes for Ice Beam.
Hp grass though is to kill Opposing Politoeds and damage Rotom-W on the switch in.
But most importantly it Ohko's Gastrodon.

Feraligatr @ Life Orb
Trait: Sheer Force
EVs: 60 HP / 252 Atk / 192 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Dragon Dance
- Crunch
- Waterfall

The star in the team, and boy is it wonderful.
It gets stab on Waterfall and Aqua Jet as well as Rain boost, Sheer Force Boost and Life Orb boosts.
Dragon Dance makes this Pokemon become a pain to deal with and will help me sweep teams.
Crunch is here purely to take out Jellicent and hit things neutral.
As i do need a counter to Rotom and other Pokemon, though at 2 he should have no problem.

Scizor @ Choice Band
Trait: Technician
EVs: 76 Spd / 252 Atk / 180 HP
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Pursuit

My physical choiced Pokemon.
Hits like a truck even to those resisting him.
Bullet Punch is boosted priority Stab and will Ohko almost anything with medicore Def.
U-turn helps me scout and preform Volt Turn while pursuit lets me trap Starmie and Ruencluss.
Superpower will hit hard and gives nice coverage.

Thundurus-Therian (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Hasty Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunder
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]

I've chosen power over speed for the reason that i want it to hit even those who resist it extremely hard.
Its SAtk is fit for ubers and stab Thunder is something to worry about.
Volt Switch helps me preform Volt-Turn with Scizor.
Hp ice is being used over Grass knot as I'm more worried about ice coverage.
He can absorb electric attacks for the team and has good synergy overall.

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 36 Spd / 220 Def
Impish Nature
- Spikes
- Roost
- Stealth Rock
- Whirlwind

I need a hazard Pokemon and Skarmoary fits the job as per usual.
Whirlwind screws my opponents team over and Roost is Hp recovery to help me phase and lay more hazards down.
Its typing is annoying to take down and its sheer Def laughs at Breloom and Toxicroak.
Not much else to say really apart from Skarm makes a nice defensive core with Quagsire screwing over any choiced sweepers.

Quagsire @ Leftovers
Trait: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Def
Careful Nature
- Earthquake
- Waterfall
- Curse
- Recover

I love this Pokemon so bad, heck knows why its in Ru.
It is a bulkier version of Swampert with brilliant overall bulk.
Its ability lets me switch on boosted Pokemon like Toxicroak and spit in its face.
Curse is to make up for no Def investment and to help boost its 206 Atk.
Earthquake and Waterfall are its two stab moves doing decent damage at +2.
Recover lets me well recover...
Its dual typing is brilliant meaning nothing is hitting it hard apart from the not so common grass attack, also giving it the ability to absorb electric attacks.
It also preforms well in sand when Poli is down.

Thanks for reading if the images need taking out just say and i will edit allot of them out.

Love this team & you're not in school either? lol i'm ill :[
Training day :D
You're clearly training hard ;]
lol "ill", I can tell your in England :P
i'm sick then-_-
Well get better soon. Or else.
Walled by Virizion.
hmm good point, luckly hes UU now and lets face it it was never used in Ou anyway.
Overtime i can take it down with use of hazards and phasing
25 rated battles, 2 rated losses and highest peaking so far at 1283 or 140th on the Po server for Ou
Pretty good especially for Ou with millions of players.
Best Rain team ive made so far pulling off to quagsire sweeps lol
Big Electric and Grass weakness.
Also, 4 Def or 4 SDef on Thundurus instead of 4 HP to allow you to switch into SR 5 times.
It's a rain team it will have those weaknesses but I do have 2 Pokemon taking nothing from electric types and 3 taking grass types.
Only Thundurus really uses them on the same set and even then I can switch between my team to take the blows then take it out but I'm using scarf Thundurus now so Thundurus can deal with it.
Tbh grass isn't a problem Celebi is the only grass really ever seen in ou but kept back because of u-turn and after rocks and spikes my Pokemon have no trouble with it.
Sadly I lost 2 battles in a row and am back down to 1210 :(

I love the Scizor set...you know since I use the same set verbatim :B

on Skarm my only issue is that without Brave Bird/Drill Peck Prankster Taunt from Tornadus etc pretty much makes Skarmory set up fodder unless you switch out and they stilll get a free turn out of it. everything else is awesome.
