Introduction

So yeah, hello and welcome to the best team I have ever made. I know I said that flatly, but it really really is the best. Don't go searching on Smogon for any teams I might have stolen, because really, this team isn't stolen. So onto the team. I was just cruising through the OU Pokemon, in search of Pokemon which I haven't encountered a whole lot throughout battling in OU so far. One of these Pokemon was Staraptor. I really got interested in Star, and decided to build a team around it, and it worked and made into a great and successful team. This is all I've got to say here, just read everything else :D

Team Building Process

So here is the man! As you can see above (in the calcs), Staraptor pretty much 2HKO's almost every OU defensive wall, some which it 3HKO's, but those are Pokemon which I wouldn't stay in on. A lot of you might be thinking, where's the Band? Well, here's my answer. Star (imo) doesn't function well with Band. It doesn't get to plough out the power of the moves it has, and can't be used to full advantage. Moves are self-explanatory.

EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature

  • Stealth Rock
  • Fire Blast
  • Hidden Power [Ice]
  • Earth Power

Offensive Heatran is really important. It wipes out some of the can-be threats and sets Stealth Rock up well. I know there's no EV investment in HP and defensive areas, but tbh what Heatran does with it's set atm, it's not really necessary. Most importantly, the Speed investment allows it to outspeed some Pokemon like Gliscor, Breloom and Conkeldurr who are all slow but dangerous to this team.

Staraptor Calcs show a +Atk Nature, but you say he has a Jolly Nature?
Flare, you do realize that Jolly increases Speed, right? :P

Hey gallade-er! Welcome to the site! I converted this post to a comment as it was not meant to be an answer. You should only answer a question if you are going to rate the team or answer the question if it's Pokebase or Meta. Sometimes there are exceptions with things like tournaments, but those will state clearly how to answer them, so don't worry. Most of the teams here on the Battle Subway are for use on Pokemon Showdown, which is an  online battle simulator on the computer. You type in your pokemon, its item, moves, and such, and then you are free to battle with other people. It's pretty fun. However, if you want to find a Celebi on your game, feel free to ask it as a question on Pokebase ;)

Nasty Plot Baton Pass Dual STAB Celebi. It knows it's terms of use pretty well :P So
anyway, the use of the Dual STAB is really effective. It get's walled like crap by Ferrothorn and Forretress and all that jazz, but that's what Baton Pass is for. If I have Nasty Plot up, it's great to just pass out to either Hydregion or Heatran. Of course, if they're both dead, I could just switch out instead of the Baton Pass :P

Adamant Nature

  • Bug Bite
  • Bullet Punch
  • Pursuit
  • Superpower

Choice Band Scizor. Awesome, hard hitting and full of adrenaline to kick out a nice burst of Bullets or bite the opponent like a bug, or chase them or use all that raw power to give a nice dent in the opponent. Whatever of the four moves it may be, it's guaranteed that it won't give bad damage and will put a nice dent wherever. Once again, the moves don't really need explaining, as it's mostly the only moves ever used on this.

Modest Nature

  • Draco Meteor
  • Dark Pulse

Scarf Hydreigon. So baws. It's really freaking under-rated in the OU metagame atm, and I swear to god it needs some more attention by those ultra strong battlers out there cough Hex cough Blob cough Lenub cough Ben cough Mike cough Mew cough (I do have a cough right now so that last cough was real :P) The moves, once again are really easy to identify. Two STAB Dark Pulse, and Draco Meteor and the other two for da coverage.

Really really freaking standard set. The ultra Dragon Dance Gyarados. It's capability to sweep teams like a baws just make my hand reach out there and grab this fish and take it or bring it or whatever into my team :D The coverage these moves give is really good (once or twice I wanted to try Stone Edge over E-quake but the accuracy just screws the thought) so yeah. This thing too is pretty standard. Yeah :D

but seriously, Hydreigon = smexy. Sure, i don't use a ScarfDreigon, because it's one slow as hell scarfer, but you should see the deeds of Sub + 3 Attacks Hydreigon ;)
