Pokémon Rate My Team

Hello, welcome to another UU RMT with your neighborhood nub. This UU team is all based around VoltTurn. I'm just that type of person who either does something all out, or doesn't give a damn about what he does. So obviously, complete VoltTurn team it shall be. Now, you may be thinking;
> omg, u like, need walls, and tanks, and missiles, and like, brooms to sweep with...

Well, that being the case, this is actually a more offensively based VoltTurn team, like it should be, with really only 1 dedicated pokemon to take a specific hit on either the Special or Physical spectrum. So this means...

Thou shall allow me to propose an organized explanation regarding this topic.

The team~

Threat list~

Let's keep this short and simple. Sharpedo is a pain in the ass (pronounced "awss") with a Protect + 3 attacks set, completely getting just about perfect coverage against the whole team. Not only that, but that allows it to negate Fake Out with Protect, and that's usually enough to take on the team, at +1. Apart from this threat, nothing else can bring pain and/or annoyance to the team, which is fine by me, since, you know, everyone strives to have the best team possible, and not some "my team is to have fun" type of bs, although some of those cases are legit.

But anyways... Let's get to the team, shall we?

Peekaboo! (open link at your own risk)

The Team sets and Descriptions-

Raikou @ Choice Specs

Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Rash Nature
IVs: 2 Atk / 30 Def
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Aura Sphere

Well, often times, when you hear about Specs Raikou, you think of fast and off the bat strong hits.Well, let me tell you from experience that it is absolutely 99.9% + 0.1% true. Atk IVs, on Raikou, as well as my other special sweepers, as a low as possible, reducing Foul Play damage from crap like Umbreon running around in the tier. Volt Switch is easily the most used move here, and oh will i spam it if you dont have a pokemon immune to it. It provides a switch to a more formidable threat, used to scout, and much more (not really). Thunderbolt doesn't see as much use, but still proves its spot on the set, thanks to its great use to deal more damage than Volt Switch can. HP Ice, the bane of Banded Flygon's existence. Hit Rhyperior and Gligar hard too, so that's a huge plus. Finally, although i lose a lot of crucial speed wars, thanks to a forced Rash Nature, Aura Sphere is just a back up for me, when Umbreon or Snorlax are giving me a very bad day. Undecided on whether i should keep it or not. But yeah, that's the kitty for you.

Gligar @ Eviolite

Trait: Immunity
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Roost

Oh yeah, the Stealth Rock setter. Gligurr is pretty much auto-SR to the mind of any UU player, and for a freakin good reason too. It's natural bulk + Eviolite means you have a godly physical wall.SR ensures easier KO's for my other sweepers, and it's pretty much a lot of free damage on the opponent, considereing the fact that they have to switch a lot to keep up with the momentum of VoltTurn. U-Turn keeps the momentum going for the team, and does ok damage to some stuff here and there, and mainly, helps break some sashes, provided that SR hasn't already. Earthquake is obviously STAB, and a great way to deal consistent damage with this flying bat. Finally, Roost allows me to stay nice and healthy, and be big troll.

Victini @ Choice Scarf

Trait: Victory Star
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- V-create
- U-turn
- Bolt Strike
- Zen Headbutt

Victini enters the team with his fashionable Scarf. Out of all of Victini's humongous movepool, Scarfed V-Create is easily the easiest move to spam, thanks to it's high power and -1 Speed is avoided with a Scarf (for the second time you attempt V-Create). U-Turn is for VoltTurn purposes, and helps form a little lead Core with Raikou, and scout out (in Victini's case) opposing Scarf users, and Sash'd leads. Bolt Strike deals with Slowbro, though it doesn't do much (unless crit becomes my friend for the match), but is still necessary, just for the coverage it provides. Zen Headbutt is just for Fighting and Poison types, when V-Create isn't a safe move yet. Plus, that 20% Flinch ratio has helped me at times.

Meloetta @ Leftovers

Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 244 HP / 40 SAtk / 224 SDef
Quiet Nature
- U-turn
- Heal Bell
- Psychic
- Focus Blast

Yay, finally, a Meloetta that isn't SubCM. Anyways, since this beauty doesn't get Volt Switch to abuse it's higher offensive stat, i just slapped U-Turn on it. Heal Bell, in accordance to a Quiet Nature, means that Melo can serve as a pretty decent status absorber. Psychic has just recently replaced Shadow Ball, which formed a GhostFight combo. However, i was lacking some SERIOUS coverage against Virizion, and Melo is the only pokemon with enough bulk to take it on, while still maintaining an offensive presence. Focus Blast just ruins any Dark or Steel type's day, and hits a lot of things Psychic can't, bar Spiritomb and Sableye, whom i cant really do much to anyways.

Mienshao @ Life Orb

Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature
- Fake Out
- Hi Jump Kick
- U-turn
- Hidden Power [Ice]

You've seen it before, so don't complain about its crappy description. Fake Out starts of to scout, break sashes, and just deal damage to faster foes, then switch. Hi Jump Kick is spammable and super strong move that hurt a lot (when i hit, as well as when i miss). It also gets a clean KO on non-bulky Kingdra before any SS/DD boosts, so thats a huge yay. U-Turn is great, gaining momentum, and allowing me to heal off LO damage with Regenerator. Finally, HP Ice > Stone Edge, just to hit Gligar tbh.

Rotom @ Life Orb

Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
- Volt Switch
- Shadow Ball

Yeah, have a look at the least appreciated Spinblocker of all time. Omg this, it cant take a hit, omg that, it's mediocre speed, omg, idk what im talking about! Anyways, LO Support Rotom sound strange at first, but it works well. How, do you say, do i beat spinners with this guy/thing? Easy! With either a STAB move, or with Will-O-Wisp. It allows Top to try and Sucker Punch me on Turn X, only to find out that it has been weakened. Pain Split allows Rotom's soul to feast on the Umbreon's HP that is soon to switch in and keep me healthy. Volt Switch threatens Blastoise easily, and is great (yet again) for momentum. Shadow Ball is just stab, and ruins Specs Chandy's day :P

horrible team
+1
2 Atk and 30 Def still grants you HP Ice? Waaaaaaaaattttt.....
DF didn't know o3o
Finally I knew something DF didn't know apart from how not to be sucky :3
Why Rash on Raikou? I'd go for Timid.
That's unfortunately not possible, as Aura Sphere is on the set and the event Raikou with Aura Sphere always has a Rash Nature.
