Pokémon Rate My Team

HAI! it's been a while since i've done an RMT, and with the broken chaos that is pokebank OU, I wanted to feature some pokemon that are and have been ignored in OU almost from their creation. So I looked at the old BW NU and RU tiers and looked how pokemon changed. The choices seemed obvious, so I went for HO. So here's my team, I hope you like it!

Preview!

Galvantula enter image description here Crawdaunt Mandibuzz Amoonguss Rotom

well, all lower except rotom

Galvantula @ Focus Sash
enter image description here
Trait: Compound eyes
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 SpA/ 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunder
- Sticky Web
- Bug Buzz
- Giga Drain

Galvantula's Job is to set up Sticky web, which is pretty much what makes this team tick, and then die. That's pretty much it. If I see a BO team that has azumarill i'll usually keep it around because azumarill threatens my team otherwise, and if no SR then it can survive and stab back with thunder. Giga Drain is mainly to hit bulky water types, and Thunder and Bug buzz are obviously dual STABs. I've been playing a lot on showdown, and the metagame has taken an offensive turn, defog not hitting as hard as predicted, and probably should have. Obviously I'll keep it alive if I know they have a defog abuser, but for the most part, set up, then die.

Medicham @ Medichamite
enter image description here
Trait: Pure Power
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 Atk/ 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Fire Punch
- Zen Headbutt
- Substitute

Basically, once I get in in, This thing hits like a truck filled with dynamite on steroids. No really. With Its attack stat reaches 656, which is (I beleive) the highest in the game. I'll show you a few calcs.

252+ Atk Pure Power Mega Medicham Fire Punch vs. 252 HP / 232+ Def Skarmory: 172-204 (51.4 - 61%) -- 94.1% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Pure Power Mega Medicham Drain Punch vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Donphan: 192-226 (50 - 58.8%) -- 71.9% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

etc, basically it 2HKOs most of the metagame, and can as it is behind a sub. Rotom's main purpose is to pivot to this monster for it to sweep.

Crawdaunt @ Life Orb
enter image description here
Trait: Adaptability
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 Atk/ 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Crunch
- Aqua Jet
- Waterfall

Another incredibly hard hitter. Dragon Dance Crawdaunt has a field day with steel losing its resistance. Usually, even after a DD, it is still too slow. But with sticky web on the field, It can outspeed pokes it could not before. Its main job is to weaken walls for medicham, and medicham can weaken walls for it. In team preview, I quickly decide which one to feature, and use the other to weaken. The only downside to this core is that both are weak to aegislash, but I deal with that later

Mandibuzz @ Leftovers
enter image description here
Trait: Overcoat
EVs: 248 HP/ 216 Def/ 44 SpD
Bold Nature
- Taunt
- Roost
- Foul Play
- Whirlwind

It's typing allows it to hard counter aegislash, something this team needs. KOing with Foul Play after SD, and 2HKOing without. It also can counter Gengar and most Psychic types. Add in Roost, Taunt, and phasing, this thing is very hard to take down, despite its former NU status. It also absorbs Psychic moves for amoongus, and grass for rotom. Rotom absorbs electric and ice, while amoongus absorbs electric and fairy. They form an interesting core that I quite like. It can also absorb sleep Powder, Spore, etc thanks to Overcoat.

Amoonguss @ Black Sludge
enter image description here
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP/ 252 Def/ 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Clear Smog
- Spore
- Giga Drain
- Synthesis

Amoongus is part of the core of rotom/ mandibuzz/ Rotom, and is there to spore and check threats, mainly azumarill. I used it successfully with the last team I made with brotad, and it was my second favorite pokemon on the team (vap <3). Clear Smog is to check boosters if sleep clause is activated, otherwise I just spore them. Synthesis combined with regen makes it very hard to take down, similar with mandibuzz.

Rotom-W @ Assault Vest
enter image description here
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 232 HP/ 52 SpA/ 220 Def
Modest Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- HP ice
- Discharge

Wow rotom, thanks for ruining the lower tiers streak. But Rotom was needed to pivot to Medicham, plus I wanted to try assault Vest. Usually the 220 in SpD is in Speed, but I want to pivot and underspeed most things, and take hits for medicham, who is frail. Rotom-W also counters Talonflame, which can revenge kill medicham. It also has great synergy with amoongus and Mandibuzz, And generally completes my team.

Replays will come soon. Please rate!

Knock Off>Crunch on Crawdaunt. It hits stupidly hard (it being the strongest Knock Off in the game) as well as depriving the opponent of their item. Also, what happened to Shadow Tag Gothitelle?
different team, and Okay, I'll try that
Knock Off Mandibuzz :3
1. Need Defog on Mandibuzz, or else SR wrecks this team to no end.
2. MURKROW HAS PRANSKTER DEFOG AHAHA U MAD :P
lol Dr.Flame, AHAHA, NO, U MAD :P
You could have had Rotom-Mow. You missed your chance. :3
Rotom-Mow SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS
And Mawile has the highest Attack in the game.
O.O I just made a team with Amoonguss a few days back two. *high fives*
Say that to Lenub Eewee.
You could have used Rotom-H > Rotom-W. they both counter Talonflame.

And Rotom-Mow completely destroys Rotom-W. by that logic, Rotom-W sucks too :P
