If you even read the title, I already know what you're thinking.
>wth there is no way you got a gimmick team to 23-5 on the ladder
Well you better believe it, sir.
Whenever I am feeling down, I make a stall team. It feels so great to be able to troll someone into oblivion with a downright obnoxious team. You should really try it sometimes. This is the best one so far.
Trollmaster69 (Klefki) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Impish Nature
- Substitute
- Swagger
- Foul Play
- Thunder Wave
If you're going to have a stall team, how do you not have Klefki? When you see Klefki, you think:
>Wow, i'm totally screwed. This thing has a substitute up, and i'm paralyzed while at the same time confused. Rage quit.
They must do think that, because whenever I get Klefki out that's when they RQ. It seems gimmicky, and it is, but what did you expect? Choice Specs? Everyone and their Charizard fear Klefki, and for a good reason.
Clutchmaster69 (Pinsir) (M) @ Pinsirite
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Return
- Quick Attack
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance
I didn't know what Mega to use, and I figured i'd have to have some kind of offensive presence, so I threw in Pinsir. After everyone is done trolling, Pinsir comes in and sweeps. A standard Pinsir set, but I might consider running Close Combat over Earthquake.
Bulkmaster69 (Mandibuzz) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Bold Nature
- Knock Off
- Roost
- Defog
- Toxic
When you have Mega Pinsir, you can't just not have a way to get rid of hazards. Not only that, but Mandibuzz is an amazing candidate on a stall team. If you have nothing to take it down, it's game over.
Anyways, another standard set. Nothing to explain here.
Haxmaster69 (Togekiss) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Wish
- Thunder Wave
- Air Slash
- Protect
The master of all haxes herself, Togekiss. If you set up a Thunder wave and can deal a decent amount of damage, the opponeny better hope they can lay off a hit. With Togekiss's major bulk, even if you do manage to attack, you're not going to be doing much damage. Wish Support is always a good thing to have too, so that's that.
Screenmaster69 (Meowstic) (M) @ Light Clay
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SDef / 252 Def
Bold Nature
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Thunder Wave
- Psychic
Yeah, I know, there are way better options to use than Meowstic. It may seem highly outclassed by Espeon, but what it doesn't get is prankster. I can either guarantee paralysis, or set up screens to maximize the team's bulk even further. It's defensive stats may seem like garbage, but with screens up it's not even that bad. Either way, Meowstic is just a screen slave, nothing more nothing less.
Sleepmaster69 (Lanturn) (F) @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Stockpile
- Ice Beam
- Scald
- Rest
You have no idea how many games this thing has won for me. If you set up maximum stockpiles, it's nearly impossible to kill. Lanturn already has a good amount of bulk, and even with just one stockpile it works wonders. It may not do much damage, but it can live a ton of hits and rack up plenty of damage after a while.
