First of all, It's an OU XY team.
Garchomp @ Life Orb
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Rock Slide
- Protect
Garchomp can deal with many types and is the physical sweeper of the team. I chose Rock Slide over Stone Edge because of its accuracy, I really don't appreciate missing three times in a row.
Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Toxic
- Gyro Ball
- Leech Seed
- Stealth Rock
Ferrothorn throw the Stealth Rocks and can beat almost every fairy with Gyro ball, such a good move considering its horrible speed and get a good sustain with Leech seed, stalling out the opponent with its toxic.
Blastoise @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Beam
- Scald
- Rest
Blastoise is the rapid spinner and can make good jobs with its Ice beam against salamence, dragonite etc. though it doesn't have much other utilities.
Gardevoir-Mega @ Gardevoirite
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast
- Taunt
Mega Gardevoir can sweep very well with Hyper voice and Taunt greedy enemies to prevent complex strategies.
Galvantula @ Focus Sash
Ability: Compound Eyes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Sticky Web
- Thunder
- Bug Buzz
- Volt Switch
I usually start the match with my Galvantula, pulling out its Sticky Web and using Volt Switch right after (generally Galvantula is the faster pokemon), but in some lucky times I can OHKO or 2HKO the enemy with Thunder.
Hawlucha @ Power Herb
Ability: Unburden
EVs: 8 HP / 252 Atk / 248 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sky Attack
- Acrobatics
- High Jump Kick
- Swords Dance
Hawlucha is the alternative sweeping option if my main sweepers can't deal with the opponent, and sometimes, it does its job so much better than those ones. Using my Sky Attack and activating my Power Herb I can OHKO most of my targets, except those with resistance. Acrobatics gets very powerful and can kill everyone in sight. Same for High Jump Kick. Swords Dance when I can, obviously.
This is my first competitive team (actually is doing well - not good - not bad) so don't be too harshful. I really would appreciate moves suggestions and any improvement to my team. I am facing hard times with Annoyers such as Trevenant and Sableye (Substitute, Will-o-Wisp, Confuse Ray) and against Baton Passers and I would appreciate some counter strategies to add to my team. Thanks in advance.
