Pokémon Rate My Team

This is my first question here, so please correct me if I do it wrong.

Anyway, this is a team with only flying type Pokemon. Its claim to fame is that for every type, there is a STAB move somewhere on this team that is super effective against that type. This gives me a huge advantage in monotype. Please don't change this without good reason.

window (Articuno) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 172 Def / 84 SpD
Bold Nature
- Toxic
- Defog
- Ice Beam
- Roost
Although Articuno is NU, a BST of 580 is still a BST of 580. As a defog support, toxic support, and stall, it can tank almost any regularly effective attack and many super effective attacks and lose less than half of its HP, giving it a chance to use defog or roost even after stealth rock damage. It's a huge help against grass, dragon, and ice teams. I know this is a bad choice for defog support, so please suggest something better. No, I will not replace this with Togekiss, even though I know it's a very good idea.

Sorry it (Thundurus) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Prankster
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Thunderbolt
- Taunt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
This is a fast sweeper and wallbreaker. Its focus sash allows it to set up nasty plot against slower Pokemon and spam thunderbolt. It can ruin many strategies with taunt, and has the unique ability to stop pranksters that also know taunt. It's the best thing I can think of against other flying teams, especially those Skarmories that use stealth rock and whirlwind. I tried life orb at one point, but it didn't work.

I eat Azumarills (Gyarados) (M) @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Intimidate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Crunch
- Waterfall
- Taunt
This is another fast sweeper. It intimidates the foe, sets up dragon dance, and spams waterfall or crunch. Its mold breaker allows it to taunt Pokemon with magic bounce, such as Xatu and mega Sableye and prevents them from annoying me too much. It can completely obliterate ground and psychic teams, and plays a key role in overcoming rock teams. It's also the only Pokemon that can survive a rock blast from a Cloyster after setting up two shell smashes, largely due to intimidate. I will not replace waterfall with aqua tail because I prefer reliability over raw power. Also, the flinch chance saved me several times.

I eat Klefkies (Hawlucha) (M) @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Unburden
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 48 Def / 144 SpD / 64 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Rest
- Acrobatics
- Drain Punch
This strategy was given to me by good friend. It can set up swords dance, rest, and consume its chesto berry to heal itself and double its speed. Acrobatics is for power, drain punch is for healing and type coverage. Notice that I invested in defenses more than speed. Hawlucha with unburden already outspeeds everything without items, abilities, or modifiers, and outspeeds all choice scarf threats. I invested in defenses instead of HP because drain punch heals a number of points instead of a fraction of the total. Better defenses means that each point is more "valuable". It often sweeps dark, steel, fighting, and rock teams. I have been thinking about replacing the chesto berry with a red card. It frees an extra move slot (presumably for fire punch) and makes it easier to set up. However, it means that foes can get away with using will-o-wisp or thunder wave. What to do?

sidewalk (Gliscor) (M) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Protect
- Roost
- Toxic
- Earthquake
Gliscor is probably the best flying type stall ever. By alternating protect and roost, it can theoretically stall a slower Pokemon with an attack dealing up to 75% of its HP in damage each hit, even bulky water types. The uses of toxic and earthquake should be pretty obvious. It's great against fire and pretty much my only option against electric teams, so its ice weakness does become a problem (notice the nickname).

Fairy Slayer (Skarmory) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
Careful Nature
- Brave Bird
- Iron Head
- Roost
- Whirlwind
Skarmory is arguably the best phazer in existence. Its sturdy almost always guarantees that it can use whirlwind. It also functions as a tank, with brave bird 3HKOing almost everything and roost allowing it to defeat multiple Pokemon at once. Iron head (and the steel type in general) is valued as the best weakness coverage any flying Pokemon can have, and is guaranteed to slay fairies and grass Pokemon that resist flying.

Due to the fact that the flying type has access to excellent weakness type coverage, the biggest weakness of this team as a whole are Pokemon that use a combination of electric and ice attacks, the most notable being black Kyurem and offensive frost Rotom. Unfortunately, mega Charizard X, the only flying Pokemon that can remove/neutralize its electric and ice weaknesses, was banned in monotype. I also have trouble with bulky water teams, because I can't outstall them. Articuno's ice beam is not very effective, Gliscor is weak to the ice attacks they often know, and Skarmory is ruined by scald.

So this is my team. I need more victories. Please help and support me.

There are better defoggers you can use other than Articuno. He has a 4x weakness to rocks, which doesn't make him exactly reliable. Something like bulky Zapdos, Crobat, Togekiss, or even running it on Skarmory would be more beneficial. Imo drop Articuno, run something also offensive like Landorus-I or Tornadus-T and then just run Defog on Skarmory.

The rest looks solid, good team m80
I clearly explained why I didn't want to lose Articuno or have defog on Skarmory. Unless you can give me a better reason why I don't need coverage against dragons, I won't drop Articuno.
I'm also surprised that nobody told me to use Xatu.

Your team is ok, but,
1.Articuno scared to rock, steel, electric...... there a long list I think.... Its def and spd is good, and other stat is worst. It's a wall, but how can it wall ? One stone edge, then it fainted, .... It has pressure, not good much. It has bad speed, stealth rock cut halve its hp, and one tiny stone.... it has no change to survive ,pretty useless.
But I could give you a tip:
Snow Queen (Articuno) @ Leftovers
Ability: Snow Cloak
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Spe
Modest Nature
- Blizzard
- Hail
- Hurricane
- Roost

Freeze and confuse make pokemon more 'harder'. Defog is useless, because your team floating, and stealth rock don't do much.
Anyway, If you don't want togekiss, use this extreme killer.
Noivern @ Life Orb
Ability: Frisk
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 SpA
Mild Nature
- Boomburst
- Roost
- Dark Pulse
- Hurricane

Boomburst is pretty good, combine with life orb can KO most pokemon. Roost for recovery.
2. Hawlucha isn't "hard" enough, it can be killed with just one hit. This is my hawlucha.
I have use this hawlucha many times, this call quick doom.
Dark Knight (Hawlucha) @ Power Herb
Ability: Unburden
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Acrobatics
- Sky Attack
- Hone Claw/ Sword Dance
- High Jump Kick

Then you use sky attack, boosted with stat and STAB will KO most pokemon. You lost power herb, so hawlucha is faster that all pokemon, you can sweep with high jump kick.
This is another set ( slow doom)
Dark Knight (Hawlucha) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Unburden
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Acrobatics
- Drain Punch
- Sword Dance
- Last Resort

Just Sword Dance until focus sash is gone, then drain punch, if not, priority will KO it. The last resort is KO any pokemon non- ghost.
3.And that Thundurus isn't ok : it weak to rock and ice only, it also hard to OHKO, and what happen if focus sash gone, thundurus don't fast enough to attack most pokemon, and scared to priority move. That hawlucha above faster than it. I suggest change to:
Explosion (Thundurus) @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Thunderbolt
- Thunder Wave
- Flash Cannon

Thunder Wave help you a lot, flash cannon for rock and ice. Beside thunderbolt and thunderwave, you can use discharge and taunt if you lucky.
4.And Gliscor, that only.... healing. What happen if you have been taunted with levitate? And can't switch, pretty useless to toxic if that pokemon is Gengar? That not good, right?
Change it to :
Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 184 HP / 252 Atk / 72 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Facade
- Protect
- Knock Off

That ok and more better than earthquake, you can have both sword dance, KO pokemon and have super shield to charge up.
If you want baton pass, use:
Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 184 HP / 252 Atk / 72 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Facade
- Baton Pass
- Knock Off

That ok and more better than earthquake, you can have both sword dance, then pass to some friend.
6.And last pokemon, Scarmory
change iron head to stealth rock or steel wing, that better than no effect iron head ( because Scarmory is slow.)
Hope this help.

I said please don't change my team too much, because then I would have no coverage against electric or dragon. Besides, how is steel wing better than iron head? Also, I don't want hail, because it hurt the rest of my team gets hurt and it's weak to opposing ice Pokemon. I don't want to replace taunt or hidden power ice on Thundurus, because it's my best wallbreaker. And how is your Hawlucha harder to OHKO than mine?
I agree with your hail comment. However this is a more optimal Hawlucha set in my opinion. One of the main reason to use Iron Head is for the flinch, but its really a matter of opinion whether Iron Head or Steel Wing is on a slower pokemon's set.
it's obvious. Iron head has more power and more accuracy.
