Here are the information on my team (which I also plan to bring at the Battle Frontier) with a few notes on my reasoning for the choice and line-up:
Abu (Gengar) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Fire Punch
- Ice Punch
- Giga Drain
Note: Besides being my signature Pokémon, I feel safer leading with my ghost boy with his three immunities plus a Thunderbolt & Fire Punch against spike set-up leads. This is my first special sweeper. And most importantly, Gengar is undoubtedly a flexible Pokémon to start with.
Arbo (Umbreon) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 156 Def / 100 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Wish
- Moonlight
- Baton Pass
- Toxic
Note: This is my main tank and healer for the team.
Lunsina (Gardevoir) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 156 HP / 252 SpA / 100 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Fire Punch
- Ice Punch
- Calm Mind
Note: I plan to use her as a switch-in if Umbreon finds itself in tight situations. The Fire Punch there kills Bugs. I also use her as a semi-special wall to take hits if the need arises. This is my second special sweeper.
Viracocha (Aerodactyl) (M) @ King's Rock
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Rock Slide
- Earthquake
- Aerial Ace
- Double-Edge
Note: Another switch-in option for Umbreon. This is my first physical sweeper taking advantage of possible flinches as its Speed suggests it hits first most of the time.
Daragat (Milotic) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Marvel Scale
EVs: 252 HP / 100 SpA / 156 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Refresh
- Recover
- Surf
- Ice Beam
Note: My staller. Milotic for me seems to always be a flexible switch-in. She is also my staple in Double Battles.
Dalaputi (Metagross) @ Choice Band
Ability: Clear Body
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 156 Atk / 100 Def
Adamant Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Earthquake
- Brick Break
- Explosion
Note: My walking detonator. I always keep this dude a secret until I figure out the core Pokémon of my opponent and use him to cripple my opponent's team. He also serves as my second physical sweeper.
Post note: I really tried to design a line-up anchoring with Gengar as my lead and where there can also be safe switch-ins and chose moves which can utilize both offense and defense for each of my Pokémon (notably, the sweepers) as much as I can if ever they have to face a type disadvantage. As for the Battle Frontier, I kinda think about grouping the first three as my Team 1 and the second three as my Team 2. Although both options can be interchangeable with at least two sweepers and one tank per trio created. I hope I can still get insights before I finalize the team.
