So far the team has been great, abnormal and mew both faced this team allong with around 20 other people, out of them i lost just the one, but i know the team is far from perfect.
Hippowdon (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Force

Why?- Ok you may be thinking why a hippowdon on a hail team?
Well This one has sand force and makes a perfect counter to sand teams, being able to not only wall but tank them with decent atk further boosted by sand force.
Role- Well its to take out common leads such as tyranitar, ninetails, dragonite and others thinking they can set up on me.
Slack off is good as hippowdon has great bulk, this guy is hard to take down and is a perfect gliscor counter.
Synergy- well nothing much pysichal can hit it as hard as other special moves can which is easyly absorbed by regice, a great specail wall.
Abomasnow also covers all its weaknesses.
Abomasnow (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Snow Warning
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Wood Hammer

- Ice Shard

Why?- I dont really need to explain.
Role- My obvious weather setter and a sweeper being able to sweep numerous pokemon with just wood hammer and this set can counter all weather setters.
Wood hammer hurts as does the ice punch and earthquake, ice shard is there for dragonites setting up and for priority in general.
Synergy- Well its abomasnow it has 8 weaknesses but around the team i can just do a switch in to hippowdon who covers all its weaknesses.
Terrakion @ Choice Band
Trait: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Stone Edge
- X-Scissor
- Close Combat
- Earthquake
Why?- I wanted a very hard hitting sweeper capable of working in hail and taking out the common weakness so in came scarf terrakion but i decided 346 speed is rather good, barely anything out runs it so i went for a choice band set.
It hits like a truck filled with explosives.
Role- Sweeper that cleans up the opponents.
Synergy- Well fighting and ground moves are both covered by gyarados, which then allows me to set up a dragon dance.
Grass and water are both covered by abomasnow and regice which take almost no damage from even the strongest of attacks.
Gyarados (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Moxie
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Ice Fang
Why?- Gyarados has great typing allowing me to safely switch in then set up a dragon dance which then allows me to sweep and ohko gyarados and other pokemon like ninetailes.
Role- Staple of my team, i wanted to base the team around a water sweeper so i used a sub gyarados with ice fang and waterfall, but then in came starmie and the set provided little coverage.
Great synergy with the team and its just a general sweeper that provided good coverage.
Synergy- Elecetric is very easy to deal with by switching to hippowdon or regice both taking almost no damage.
Regice @ Leftovers
Trait: Ice Body
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Protect
- Thunderbolt
- Blizzard
- Thunder Wave
Why?- Beacuse i dont like wallrein and it is a great special wall.
Role- A wall capable of taking many hits then healing 1/8 hp every turn with protect to heal further.
Blizzard gets stab making it very powerfull and also with thunderbolt makes a good bolt beam combo.
Synergy- Well Regice has great def hp and spdef so it can take any special attacks that are fire, though only two hits.
But it can take almost any pysical hit appart from a terrakions close combat which is dealed with by switching into gyarados as is fire and steel moves.
Raikou @ Choice Specs
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Rash Nature (+SAtk, -SDef)
- Weather Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Volt Switch
Why?- I needed one more pokemon on my team with great offence, then i noticed 4/5 of my pokemon were psyichal so i needed a specail sweeper, preferbly specsed.
So i had an idea of frosslass but i didnt want another ice pokemon, that would make my team to standard, and i like using unusual low tiered pokemon in my hail teams so in came raikou.
I would run timid but weather ball hits like a truck so as it was the event raikou it had to be rash.
But that gives it 328 speed allowing it to run most pokemon without scarf or 100 base speed.
Role- A special sweeper and this pokemon is amazing in hail it hits so hard.
Specs gives it an edge allowing me to 2hit ko any neutral bulky pokemon and ohko any normal pokemon like infernape.
Synergy- Gyarados as its only weakness is ground.
I love this team, the synergy is great and the pokemon are odd choices just like my other hail teams, yet the team works great.
Please if you must answer dont just write a few lines or comment on just 1 or two pokemon, also for new comers this is not ingame dont suggest hms and whatever.
