I'm using this team for WiFi Double Battles on Pokemon Battle Revolution and I want to see if anyone can help me make it a little bit better.
Houndoom @ Life Orb
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Dark Pulse
- Flamethrower
- Overheat
- Dream Eater
Dark Pulse (Provides reliable STAB)
Flamethrower (Provides more reliable STAB)
Overheat (If you plan on switching soon. It's great for extra power, and Gengar's support helps it)
Dream Eater (Gengar provides Hypnosis support and is faster. This is a good combo, although its risky)
Gengar @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Giga Drain
- Shadow Ball
- Hypnosis
- Will-O-Wisp
Giga Drain (Heals off Life Orb damage)
Shadow Ball (Hard-hitting STAB)
Hypnosis (Supports Houndoom's Dream Eater)
Will-O-Wisp (Supports Houndoom's Flash Fire)
Gengar and Houndoom both play the same role. Like 1 pokemon, they have pretty nice coverage in their little team, and have provided me with fairly well balanced matches.
Rhyperior @ Leftovers
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Brave Nature
- Stone Edge
- Hammer Arm
- Avalanche
- Earthquake
Stone Edge (Best STAB)
Hammer Arm (Ice coverage mainly, and other Rock types with Earthquake)
Avalanche (Grass coverage)
Earthquake (STAB and covers five types)
Dragonite @ Leftovers
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Waterfall
- Brick Break
- Roost
Dragon Claw (STAB)
Waterfall (Coverage)
Brick Break (Coverage)
Roost (Healing)
These two are my physical tanks. They wall a lot of attacks with some nice type coverage together, just slowly beating the life out of my opponents
Machamp @ Expert Belt
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 252 Atk / 160 HP / 96 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dynamic Punch
- Bullet Punch
- Poison Jab
- Rock Slide
Dynamic Punch (STAB and confusion)
Bullet Punch (Priority!)
Poison Jab (This actually works often with the Poison Hax)
Rock Slide (I like the hit all and flinch, and it's Flying coverage)
Empoleon @ Life Orb
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 SpA / 4 Spe
Naive Nature
- Signal Beam
- Aqua Jet
- Blizzard
- Drill Peck
Signal Beam (Bug, Ice and Water make for great coverage)
Aqua Jet (Priority, saves you a lot)
Blizzard (Low accuracy, but hitting both opponents with this power and not your teammate, is amazing)
Drill Peck (Physical coverage)
Machamp and Empoleon are my Mixed + Physical, high power but not too much speed Pokemon. They're normally my leads.
