Pokémon Rate My Team

The whole point of this team is to use uncommon and weird strategies to catch my opponent off guard and hopefully have a couple of laughs as I tear all 6 of their Pokémon to shreds :)

Fall Out Boy (Toxtricity) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Punk Rock
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Overdrive
- Boomburst
- Volt Switch
- Sludge Bomb

This was the first Pokémon I thought of when making this team, as Punk Rock+Boomburst (182 base power) ABSOLUTELY SMACKS. Add on Tera Normal and it OHKOs everything. Choice Scarf allows it to out speed basically anything in OU. Overdrive & Sludge Bomb are for STAB (even though in most games you'll terastrallize into normal) and Volt Switch is for pivot.

Grapefruit (Rillaboom) (F) @ Grassy Seed
Ability: Grassy Surge
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 136 HP / 252 Atk / 60 Def / 60 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Grassy Glide
- Knock Off
- High Horsepower
- Acrobatics

I couldn't really think of a Rillaboom counter, so I thought-- why not just use Rillaboom itself? Grassy Glide is for priority & STAB. High-Horsepower is for coverage (I'm not using Earthquake cuz' its damage gets cut in half when it's in Grassy Terrain). Acrobatics is to take care of any Iron Valiants, Rillabooms, or Amoongusses.

MESSSIIIIIII (Cinderace) (M) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Libero
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Pyro Ball
- Sucker Punch
- Court Change
- High Jump Kick

Every time someone tries to use Glimmora or any other hazard setter, this is my fun little surprise for them. I'll wait and KO them AFTER they finish setting up all the hazards. Then, I switch into Cinderace, and COURT CHANGE THE ABSOLUTE DICKENS out of them. Heavy Duty Boots is so your Cinderace doesn't suffer any boo-boos when switching in.

Chris Pratt (Landorus-Therian) @ Iapapa Berry
Ability: Intimidate
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Bulk Up
- Substitute
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

I didn't know what else to add so I handed my phone to my friend, and he just put in his typical Lando-T set sooooo...

Quagsire>Swampert (Quagsire) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Toxic
- Recover
- Earthquake
- Haze

This is Quag-Daddy, and he is an absolute physical TANK. I've played 100+ games with Quagsire, and the opponent always try to set up a Swords Dance or a Bulk Up cuz' they don't realize I have Unaware. It's hilarious to see a +6 attack Kinggambit do 30% with a Kowtow Cleave.

Gyatt Damn (Samurott-Hisui) (F) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sharpness
Tera Type: Bug
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- X-Scissor
- Knock Off
- Aqua Cutter
- Sacred Sword

This is my lead Pokémon. X-Scissor (boosted by Sharpness) is for Ogerpon-Wellspring. I don't want to have Ceaseless Edge because in most games I'll use Court Change Cinderace so I use Knock Off instead. Aqua Cutter for STAB (also boosted by Sharpness). Sacred Sword is for coverage.

Happy Holidays! Thanks for taking a look at this.

DLC2 has made the Metagame weird. Enamorus wrecks a lot of this team. The Metagame has also gotten a lot bulkier, so I don’t think Toxtricity works very well.

This team is an offense and quite an unusual one. Here are my suggestions: toxtricity gets kod by the slightest of the ground type move without tera support and is forced to switch, probably just change a mon. Rillaboom has quite an unexpected set. I recommend using something other than acrobatics because Rillaboom does not have enough speed and it isnt stab to deal huge damage, and you're better off having a high power option like wood hammer to wallbreak. For Cinderace, switch either High Jump Kick or sucker punch for U-turn, pivoting to keep momentum is essential for this kind of offense. I recommend ditching High Jump Kick as the crash damage is 50% and if you miss, hit a ghost, or is blocked by protect, you get easily KO'd. Sucker punch on the other hand offers a priority to finish off weakened opponents and its power is increased coupled with libero. Landorus with sub + bulk up... it does not have the speed. Why not use a double dance set (rock polish + swords dance) without sub and give it edgequake coverage? As for Quagsire it is the standard wall set and is is alright. For Samurott, X-scissor is not exactly a good choice, bug hits nothing, and you can set teratype to a stab of your choice. AV is not ideal given its low special defense to work with, so it is better to give it a choice scarf. Overall, very innovative team!

I think its good. Nobody really expects weird teams. Very offensive, but quag and grassy terrain is some defense but i think a little more would be good... (I am not a professional...)

When I saw the word "weird" i had to click on it.
