Pokémon Rate My Team

Please note that this team is no longer usable in LC following the Scraggy and Misdreavus bans.

I kinda feel bad about using this team, seeing as these are some of the best Pokemon in Little Cup. I usually like to add underdogs. But when you answer, don't suggest underdogs for the sake of adding them. Because this team works amazingly. I've only lost one battle, due to a surprising Scarf Gastly lead from Hex (and even then this team made it 6-5). Which makes it 23-1 (which makes me think I should stop just asking people on PO for a battle and start doing rated, but I don't like being so competitive).

Scraggy (M) @ Eviolite
Ability: Shed Skin
EVs: 36 HP / 236 Atk / 212 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Crunch
- Drain Punch
- Dragon Dance
- Ice Punch

Scraggy lead? Hell yeah. Scraggy is perfect for leading due to a common lead being Bronzor. Scraggy takes nothing from Bronzor. Immune to Psychic, easily shrugs off Earthquake, Flash Cannon, or HP Ice, and Shed Skin takes care of Toxic. I use the time Bronzor is in to set up a Dragon Dance (or more than one Dragon Dance depending upon how long they stay in). Well, not much can take a +2 Scraggy (the usual because they stay in long enough to use Stealth Rock). The movepool is pretty basic. Crunch and Drain Punch for STAB, Ice Punch for coverage. I did consider adding in Zen Headbutt though, as that should do some damage to a number of Scraggy counters.

Ferroseed (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 244 HP / 32 Def / 228 SpD
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Thunder Wave

Support. Switch in when it gets those resistances working, then sets up Stealth Rock and Spikes. Once I find that I have enough hazards, I'll Leech Seed, stay in as long as I can, then provide healing to a different teammate. Thunder Wave takes care of any deadly sweepers.

Shellder (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Skill Link
EVs: 36 HP / 236 Atk / 36 Def / 196 Spe
Naive Nature
- Surf
- Icicle Spear
- Rock Blast
- Shell Smash

Shell Smash Shellder. Pretty basic. Surf hits for STAB, more accurate than either Razor Shell or Hydro Pump, and takes down Physical walls. Other moves have pretty much 125 base power.

Abra (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 240 SpA / 200 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Shadow Ball
- Substitute

Special sweeper. Psychic just hits incredibly hard. HP Fighting is for most Dark types (I'm hoping no Stunky). Shadow Ball is to hit other Psychics. Substitute gives me a weapon to use against Sucker Punch.

Misdreavus (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 36 HP / 236 SpA / 236 Spe
Modest Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Substitute

An excellent switch in to many Physical sweepers. I just Will-o-wisp them and they become useless. Substitute is like it is for Abra, a weapon against Sucker Punch. Shadow Ball and HP Fighting get that perfect neutral coverage.

Munchlax (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 236 HP / 236 Atk / 36 Def
Adamant Nature
- Frustration
- Earthquake
- Pursuit
- Fire Punch

This guy can take a hit and hit back hard. Frustration is STAB. Earthquake does some damage vs foes like Grimer and any Stunky I get lucky that don't switch, as well as Fire types who I switch in on. Pursuit KOs foes on the switch. And Fire Punch takes care of Bronzor and Ferroseed.

You have 5 Females, trachy.
Yeah, PO randomly gives genders now. So it gave me five females. Oh well, due to the randomization, nobody uses Rivalry or Attract. It saw some use when the generic was male, but now, no use.
