The grav is a character called Guts from the manga series Berserk. I'd recommend it, though I should mention it's pretty NSFW

I doubt that feature will be added at all, unfortunately. Pokemaster rarely acts upon feature requests and I don't think that one would be a high priority for him either way.
As the post mentions it's quite easy to work around by simply changing the URL. If you're on the main section you can just add "meta/" between "pokebase/" and "user/" to go where you want.
