"Argh! I'll show you little brats!" Ghetsis yelled, still tied up in the clearing. Ash had left, so there was no one to untie him. "I'll show you all! Ahhhhh!" he screeched in rage.

It seems as though there are many unanswered questions. Who was that mysterious girl with the Marshadow? What are the mysteries surrounding Lily the talking Umbreon? Why was Kylani turned into a Glaceon? What will happen to Growlithe? Who is the Metagross user, Meta-Man, and why did he help N and the others? Why did Gladion suddenly become so outraged? And... how long is Ghetsis going to be tied up? The answers to come as the group's adventure continues!

After a while of chasing, the Glaceon is too tired to keep running. "Kylani!" N called. The Glaceon started shivering in fear. "So, we found her again... what now?" Pika asked. "Uh... I don't exactly know..." N muttered. "Thanks a lot..." "I can help with this!" Hex exclaimed. "Huh?" N and Pika said. Hex pulled out a book and started quickly skimming through the pages. "What's a book gonna do?" Pika asked. "It's a spellbook. I cast one of the spells to cure N's poisoning." Hex said cheerfully. "Wait, what?!" N cried in shock. "You have a magical spellbook?!" "I want a magical spellbook too!" Pika whined. "Let's see... Dissapearing spell... Teleporting spell... aha! Pokemon to human spell!" "Wait... so you could just go around, turning Pokemon into humans?" N asked. "Yep! If I wanted to!" "Creepy." Pika said. "All right, here we go..." Hex said, and held up a charm to the sun and began to chant. A ring of light surrounded the Glaceon and she crouched down, putting her front feet over her eyes. "Holy crud, it's actually working! I think! Right?!" Pika cried. "Don't ask me!" N yelled in response. Suddenly, a bright flash of light blinded everyone, and when they were able to see again, they saw Kylani sitting on the ground, covering her eyes with her hands. "It worked! Resume the victory dance!" Pika yelled excitedly, and started dancing again. "Kylani! Are you okay?!" N asked worriedly. Kylani slowly uncovered her eyes. "W-What... what happened...?" "You were turned into a Glaceon and Hex turned you back into a human." "...I was... what...? Right... I remember now... I just woke up as a Glaceon out of nowhere... can't even remember fallling asleep..." "Really?" "Yes... and then I was being chased around by that man's Scrafty..." "Kylani, why did you use Blizzard on me?" Pika said, starting to pay attention. "I... sorry, I didn't know who you were... I thought you were going to attack me..." "How could you forget me...?!" Pika whined. "Pika, be quiet." "Whoo! First time doing that spell!" Hex said happily. "I'm so glad I didn't need to practice!" "Wait, you've never done that spell before?!" "Whoa, calm down, M." "Uh... it's N, not M." "Same thing." Hex said, shrugging. Pika burst into laughter again. "Well, whatever... Kylani, I'm glad you're back to normal." N said. Kylani slowly stood up. "I'm glad to be back! Sheesh, I couldn't even remember any of you as a Glaceon!" "Shiny Glaceon." Pika corrected her. "Pika. Please." N muttered. Pika snorted. "I'm also glad that you're not poisoned anymore, N." Kylani said, smiling. Suddenly, Pika's eyes went wide. "Oh no, I forgot about Gladion!" she cried. Kylani snickered at how familliar the situation was. "Gotta go! Bye! Glad you're back to normal!" Pika yelled as she ran off. "Wait! I wanna see Gladiator too!" Hex called, running after her. "Oh, just wow." Kylani laughed. "Those two could totally be best friends." N sighed heavily. "Fine with me if they bother me less..."

Pika and Hex ran to the mansion, then stopped when they saw Lillie dashing towards them. "Lillie?" "Pika!" "Who now?" Lillie stopped, panting, looking excited and happy. "What's up?" "It's Gladion! His fever's gone!" "What?! No way!" Pika cried happily. "Oh yeah, you said Gladiator had a fever, didn't you, Pika?" Hex asked. "Uh... who are you?" Lillie asked. "Oh, this is Hex. She's a friend, so don't worry about her burning down your room or something." Pika joked. "I might if I start practicing my Fire spell!" Hex laughed. "F-Fire spell...?" "Don't worry, Lillie." "Um... okay." "So, when do I get to meet Gladiator?" "Uh... it's Gladion, not Gladiator." Lillie said. "Oh well. Same thing." Hex said, snickering. "...It's not the same... thing..." said a voice. They turned around to see Gladion slowly walking towards them, looking weak and a bit hunched over. "Gladion!" Pika cried, running up to him. "Are you okay?" Gladion stumbled and Pika tightly gripped his arm. "Whoa, you never told me that Gladiator was the Hunchback of Notre Dame!" Hex exclaimed. For a second, there was dead silence. "W-What's Notre Dame...?" Lillie asked, "...And what the heck is a Hunchback and why is it of Notre Dame...?!" Gladion asked, clearly insulted. Pika and Hex started laughing. "I'm glad to see your spirit's back!" "Gladiator, why can't you walk right?" Hex asked. Lillie flinched. "...I'm not Gladiator...! And I feel weak as heck, excuse you..." "Dude, he was sitting in a mansion, on the floor, with a burning fever. Cut him some slack." Pika muttered. "All he needs is some exercise and he'll be good as new, I'm sure." Lillie said. "...Yay..." Gladion said with no excitement. Pika stared at him worriedly. "Gladion, when you were sick, you acted different... what happened? I know when someone's not sick anymore they're often right back to normal, but..." "...Sorry... I'm just not in a good mood..." "Like always!" Pika exclaimed. Suddenly, Gladion gave her a nasty glare. "...If you're not a fan of my attitude... why don't you just leave me alone?!" he yelled at Pika. The three of them flinched. Pika started tearing up. "Okay, fine!" she said, letting go of his arm, which made him stumble. "We'll leave, then! Enjoy your recovery, Gladion!" she yelled, and ran off. "Hey!" Hex called after her. Gladion was trying to regain his balance, and Lillie asked "Gladion... w-what's wrong... with you...?" "...Nothing! I just... want to be left alone...!" he said. "...Why is that so much to ask...?!" "Uh... well, bye!" Hex yelled, and dashed away. Lillie stared after them sadly.

After a while of running, the pair is exaugsted. "Where could she be...?" N muttered. "I dunno, but I gotta sit down..." Hex said, and promptly fell over. N sighed. "Uh..." said a voice. Both of them looked and saw Pika standing there, looking confused. "Pika?!" "What's... going on?" she asked, obviously confused. "Pika, we could use your help!" "Who's a Pika...?" Hex muttered. "What happened?" "It's Kylani! She's in trouble!" "W-What?!" "Can you help?!" "Of course! Let's-" she suddenly cut herself off and looked over her shoulder anxously. "Why're you... what're you looking at...?" Hex asked groggily. "It's just... I'm worried about Gladion..." "Gladion? Why are you worried about him?" "Well... he has a fever, and I'm trying to help him recover... I don't want to leave him there alone... although Lillie will help him out 'cause she's there..." "A fever?" "Yeah, he hurt himself and has a fever..." "Well, I'm sure... Gladiator or whatever his name is... will be fine for a few minutes..." Hex muttered. "Hex, get up, please." N said, sighing. Hex groaned and started shoving herself up. "Hex? Who's Hex?" Pika asked. "She's Hex." N responded, pointing at her. Hex gave the two of them a thumbs-up. Pika laughed. "Okay! Let's go, you two!" N said, and dashed off. "Oh no, more running..." Hex muttered. "I just sat down..." The two of them chased after N.

After a while of searching, the trio is worn out. "Aw, man... where is she...?" Pika asked. "I... I have no clue..." "Thanks a lot, N... that helps..." Then N suddenly heard the cry for help again. "Follow me! She's this way!" N yelled, dashing off. "Hey, how can you just be restored to full energy like that...? That's unfair..." Hex called after him. They ran into a clearing to see a Shiny Glaceon being attacked by a man's Scrafty. It was clearly weak and it collapsed. "Uh... where's Kylani...?" Pika asked, giving N a crazy look. Then he heard the cry for help again, this time it was very weak. "T-T-That's Kylani!" N yelled, pointing at the Glaceon. The girls looked at each other in confusion. "I'm sure of it! We have to save her!" Upon hearing N's shouting, the man turned around. "What in the-" "Go!" the three of them shouted. Pika sent out Silvally, N sent out Archeops, and Hex sent out a Mimikyu. The man gave them a nasty look. "Listen, kids, this Pokemon is mine!" "Oh no, she isn't!" Hex yelled at him. "I won't let you steal my catch!" the man snarled angrily. Then he threw two Poke Balls, sending out a Crobat and an Aegislash. "Let's get this party started!" Pika yelled. "Silvally, Ice Fang on Crobat!" Silvally, fangs cloaked in ice, charged at Crobat. "Dodge it and use Wing Attack on that Mimikyu!" Crobat quickly flew out of the way of Silvally's attack, then dived toward Mimikyu. With no time to dodge, it was hit hard with Crobat's wings, and its disguise's head went limp. "Mimikyu, Shadow Ball on Aegislash!" Mimikyu hurled the shadowy blob at Aegislash, hitting it hard. "Slash on that Silvally!" Aegislash switched to its Blade Forme and slashed Silvally with its body, causing it to cry out in pain. "Oh no, Silvally!" Pika cried. "Now, Scrafty, use Focus Punch!" Scrafty pulled its fist back and closed its eyes to concentrate. "Archeops, use Dragon Breath on Scrafty!" Archeops breathed out a stream of purple and blue energy, but Crobat flew in front of Scrafty and took the attack. Suddenly, Scrafty charged toward Silvally and unleashed its Focus Punch, knocking Silvally flying. It hit the ground with a crash and fainted. Archeops landed in front of it, staring in shock. "Oh, crud..." Pika muttered as she returned it to its Poke Ball. "Now! High Jump Kick!" Scrafty leaped toward Archeops to hit it head-on. "Look out!" Suddenly, a Metagross decended in front of Archeops and took the hit. However, it barely seemed to do any damage, and Scrafty looked panicked. "What the?!" Then a voice shouted "Use Hammer Arm!" and the Metagross swung its arm at Scrafty, knocking it flying, and it fainted. "What the...?" N said, looking stunned. "Augh!" the man yelled as he pulled out his Poke Ball and called his Pokemon back. "Who did that?!" Then a boy jumped down from a tree branch and landed near the Metagross. "I did." he said. "Who in the absolute frick is this?" Pika asked, looking a bit agitated about her Silvally fainting. "Call me Meta-Man." he replied. "Okay then." Pika said. "Call him what? Mega Man?" Hex asked. Pika snickered. "Quiet, you two!" N said to them. "Archeops, Crunch on Aegislash!" Archeops bit down hard on Aegislash's metal body, and flung it. "Mimikyu, Shadow Ball on Aegislash!" Mimikyu fired off its Shadow Ball and it hit Aegislash, making it faint. The man looked absolutley furious. "Play Rough!" "Dragon Breath!" "Dodge them!" Archeops used Dragon Breath and Mimikyu charged at Crobat so it could use Play Rough, but it dodged both attacks and crashed into Metagross. "Metagross! Psychic!" Metagross lifted Crobat up with its psychic powers, and flung it into a tree, causing it to faint. "No!" the man yelled. Then N, Pika, Hex, Meta-Man, and their Pokemon started surrounding him, and he panicked. "Y-You kids'll regret this!" he cried, picking up his Crobat, and ran off. "Yeah, run, you stupid coward!" Pika taunted. Then they returned their Pokemon to their Poke Balls. For a second, all was silent. Then Hex yellled "Yes! We did it!" in triumph, and started doing a rediculous victory dance with Pika. "At least they're in high spirits..." N muttered. Then he turned to thank Meta-Man for his help, but he was gone. "Huh... rather unpredicible, I guess." he said. Then he turned to the Glaceon. "Kylani?" he asked. She started shuddering, looking terrified. Hex and Pika stopped in the middle of their weird hand gestures and walked over to her. "So... that's Kylani, huh?" Pika asked, looking very skeptical. "Yes, I'm sure of it. The cries for help were coming from her, and she had Kylani's voice." "...The cries for help that no one could hear but you, magically." Hex said, rolling her eyes. "N can hear Pokemon's speech or something." Pika said, shrugging. "Really?" "Yeah." "Cool." N gritted his teeth, feeling annoyed that they seemed to think he was crazy. Pika stepped foward, and the Glaceon stepped back. "If this is Kylani, why the flip did she turn into a Glace-" Suddenly, she summoned a Blizzard and froze Pika. "Ahh!" Hex cried, as the Glaceon ran off. "Kylani! Wait!" he started to run after her, but Hex grabbed his arm. "What about Pika?!" she cried. "Oh... that." N muttered. Suddenly, Growlithe started running towards them, barking. "Growlithe? What are you doing here?" he asked. Growlithe sat down in front of him and stared up at him. Suddenly, he had an idea. "Growlithe? Could you use Ember to melt that ice covering Pika?" Growlithe nodded happily and walked up to the frozen Pika. Then he unleashed a mighty Ember that not only melted the ice, but set Pika's arm on fire. "Ahhhh! Ow, ow, hot, hot, hot! Ah!" Pika cried, running around in a circle before rolling on the ground to extinguish the flames. Hex and N both bit their lip to keep from laughing, because Pika gave them a nasty glare. "Good job, Growlithe." N said, and pet him. "All right! Let's go find Kylani!"

At the mansion, Kylani started looking around. "Oh, wow... I forgot how nice this place was..." Lillie kept walking. Kylani could tell from the worried look on her face that she wanted to check on her brother, and she followed. Kylani got a bit distracted, so she was startled when Lillie gasped. She spun around to see Pika and Gladion outside. Pika had a good grip on Gladion's arm and he seemed to be trying to walk, but kept stumbling. "Hey, hey, take it easy. You're still pretty weak." Pika said gently. He looked at her, smiled, and nodded. Kylani dashed towards them. "Hey! Pika! Gladion!" she called. However, she caught both of them off guard, and Pika lost her grip on Gladion's arm. He started falling, but Pika quickly wrapped her arms around him and caught him. Both of them started trying to catch their breath. "I'm sorry!" Kylani cried. Lillie dashed up to her brother. "A-Are you okay?" He nodded in response. Kylani noticed that while he was sweating and his face was red, his eyes were clear. "Gladion, you're defenately doing better than you were yesterday..." Lillie said, smiling from ear to ear. "I decided to give him some fresh air and sunshine." Pika said. "I thought it couldn't hurt." "I'm glad you two didn't get hurt. Maybe I should've looked before I shouted..." Kylani said, a bit embarassed. Gladion squinted at her and looked confused. "...Who...?" he asked. "Uh... it's me, Gladion. Kylani." "Don't you recognize her?" Lillie asked worridly. "...No..." "Uh, don't worry about it...?" Pika said, looking a bit baffled. "How can he not remember me?! That's crazy! I've been hanging around with Pika, like, forever!" Kylani exclaimed in shock. Suddenly, Pika glared at her. "Look, I don't think he can remember his own freaking mother yet! He needs time! Don't push him!" she snapped. Kylani and Lillie flinched. Gladion squirmed. "Whoa, Pika..." Kylani muttered. "W-What's... what's wrong, Pika...?" Lillie asked nervously. Pika sighed. "Sorry. I guess I'm a bit stressed... didn't sleep last night. Stayed up all night worrying." "Yikes..." Kylani said. Gladion looked upset. "...It's my fault..." he said. "...If... if I hadn't gotten hurt... this wouldn't be happening..." "Don't blame yourself, Gladion... you getting hurt was an accident." "...I know... but... I feel like a burden..." "You're not a burden! You're sick and need to recover, that's all." Pika said. "Pika's right, Gladion." Lillie said. "You're not a burden." Lillie said, and hugged him. Pika did as well. Gladion looked both of them, and smiled faintly. "Wow..." Kylani muttered. Both of the girls were being very gentle, which was strange for Pika, who normally wasn't that caring, but she was acting like she was Gladion's second little sister or something. "I'm glad you're doing well, Gladion. I just never thought that Pika would be taking care of you..." Kylani said as Pika smiled. Then she suddenly remembered N. "Ahh! I totally forgot about N! Bye-bye! Get well soon!" she said, dashing off hurridly. Pika, Lillie, and Gladion stared at her as she ran, looking very confused.

Kylani opened her eyes a little bit, the sun glaring in them. She was confused. What happened? Why did she feel so strange? She had faint memories, like voices that she couldn't recognize. She stood up and realized that she was using her hands to stand up as well as her feet. She looked down to realize that her hands looked... different. They were blue and looked like paws. She gasped and looked at herself. She wasn't human. She was a blueish-white, four-legged Pokemon with a tail. She had turned into a Glaceon! Panicking, she cried for help, but there was no response. She dashed about frantically, crying for help. What should she do? Where should she go? Would she ever be turned back into a human? Suddenly, a man walked up to her. She stepped back nervously. "Heh. Must be my lucky day." he said, and sent out a Scrafty. "Now, Scrafty! Use High Jump Kick!" The Scrafty jumped into the air and suddenly dived down, about to hit Kylani with its knee, but, in alarm, she jumped out of the way. The Scrafty seemed to be in pain as it missed, taking damage. "Oh, come on!" the man yelled. Kylani ran off, terrified. She cried out, in Pokemon language, "Help me!"

Back where N and Hex are, N is just regaining conscisness. "...Ugh..." he muttered, and sat up.  "...What the...?" "You're finally awake!" Hex exclaimed. "Who in the heck are you?" he asked, rubbing his eyes. "I'm Hex. I'm a friend of that girl that lead me to you. At least, I think I am. What do you remember?" "What? Well... Growlithe ran off... then... then that Salandit poisoned me!" "I cured you, so you don't have to worry about that, at least." Growlithe slowly walked towards N, looking a bit afraid. "There you are!" he said. He looked at Growlithe and noticed his injuries. He slowly reached out his hand, and Growlithe licked it in a friendly manner. "Poor thing... you must've been badly treated if you're being friendly to a stranger-" Suddenly, he heard something. A voice calling for help. It seemed to come from nowhere. "What the...? What was that?!" "What was what?" "A voice... I'm sure I heard it... it was calling for help..." Hex looked at him like he was crazy. "It was so familliar..." Then he heard it again, louder and more desperate. "Kylani!" he cried, getting up. "Who?" "That girl that you said lead you to me! Her name's Kylani! And she's in trouble!" "Ah!" Hex exclaimed. "Come on! Let's go find her!" N called, running off. Hex followed while Growlithe stared after them sadly.

Meanwhile, Kylani seems to have given up on making Ghetsis nice, as she and N are on a mission. Their mission is to save Pokemon who have been abused by their Trainers. They peek out from behind some trees to find a boy with a Growlithe. It was battling a Salandit and losing. "Oh, come on!" cried the boy. "Ember!" Growlithe started breathing flames toward the Salandit, but it dodged. Then the Salandit sent a wave of poison at the Growlithe, and it cried out in pain as it was hit. Kylani and N stared at each other in shock. "What is wrong with you?! You're useless!" the boy yelled at his Growlithe, and started kicking it repeatedly. "We have to save that Growlithe!" Kylani cried, and the two of them dashed out of the bushes. Kylani knocked the boy over. "Ow! What the heck are you doing?!" he yelled. N crouched next to Growlithe as it whimpered in pain. "You were abusing that Growlithe!" "What I do with my own Pokemon is none of your business, kid!" Growlithe shakily got to its feet as Kylani said "It's not your Pokemon anymore! We're going to rescue it from you!" "Rescue?! You can't just take a Trainer's Pokemon, you know!" "Actually, we can take a Pokemon away from its Trainer if it's being abused by them! We talked to Officer Jenny, and she thinks it's a good idea! It'll save the Pokemon a lot of suffering!" Growlithe started whining, looking pitiful. N reached out his hand and laid it on Growlithe's head, causing it to jump back, startled, and run away. "Hey, wait!" N called after it. Suddenly, the Salandit spat poison at N. "Augh!" he cried. "N!" The Salandit ran off as Kylani started freaking out. "Are you okay?!" N moaned in response. "Oh no! You're poisoned!" "I can tell..." Kylani looked around to see that the boy had run off. "I-I didn't bring any Pecha Berries or Antidote!" N gave her a weird look. "How... how could you forget to bring something that cures poison...?" "Uh... I don't know, actually..." N suddenly looked worried. "Growlithe... we have to find Growlithe... it could get hurt easily when it's already injured..." "But... but you're just gonna get worse!" Kylani cried, but N was already stumbling in the direction that Growlithe had run off in. Kylani followed. After a minute of wandering and not seeing Growlithe, Kylani said "I-I think we should stop searching for Growlithe for a little while and try to find something to heal you with." "No... we have to find Growlithe..." "But, no offense, you look terrible!" N turned towards her and said "You know...? I appreciate your concern, but I'm... fine..." Suddenly, he went pale and collapsed. "N!" N started writhing around on the ground in agony, crying out in pain. "O-Oh no...!" Kylani cried. "J-Just hold on! I'll get help!" she said, and dashed off. She wandering around, looking for help and becoming increasingly panicked. "Hello?" said a voice. She whirled around to see a girl with a Growlithe in her arms. "W-Who are you?!" "My name is Hex. I found this little fellow running around in a frenzy. Do you know his Trainer?" she asked. "Y-Yes, I do, but-" "What's that? Am I hearing things, or is somebody crying out in pain?" Kylani realized Hex might be the help N needed. "Yes! Please, follow me!" she said, running back to N's location. When the arrived, Hex looked stunned. "What in the world happened here?!" "Y-You see, he was poisoned by a Salandit while we were trying to rescue Growlithe! Please, can you help him?!" Growlithe looked upset and curled up tightly. "...Yes, I can!" Hex said, and crouched next to N. "Don't worry, N... you'll be feeling better in no time..." Kylani said, but N didn't look her way. Hex stared at him curiously. Kylani backed away, thinking that N didn't know she was there. "Don't worry, I'll make sure he gets well." Hex assured her. Kylani nodded and walked away, sure that Hex could concentrate better when she wasn't around. Around a minute after Kylani left, Hex pulled out a book. She peered at it and turned a few pages. "...This is the one." she said. Growlithe stared at them nervously. She lifted a charm up to the sun and started chanting. A strange ring of light surrounded N as Hex continued to chant. After a second, Hex stopped chanting and the ring of light dissapeared. N had stopped thrashing and was asleep. "There we go." Hex said happily. "He'll be fine with some rest."

Kylani walked around, wondering how N was doing. Was Hex helping him? Would he be okay?  Then she saw Lillie. "Lillie?" Lillie turned and called "Kylani!" "Say, Lillie, do you know where Pika is?" "Pika? She's at the mansion." "The mansion? Why?" "Well... you see, Gladion got hurt and has a fever... and Pika's taking care of him." "A fever?!" she cried in alarm. "Wait a second, you just left him there with Pika?" Lillie nodded. "Yes, Pika's taking good care of him. You could come visit, if you want..." "Okay! Let's go, then!" Kylani said, and dashed off in the direction of the mansion. "Hey! W-Wait for me!" Lillie called after her.

Pika's Charizard landed at the mansion, and Pika jumped off. "Thanks, Charizard!" Charizard nodded and flew off. Pika opened the doors and saw Lillie pacing back and forth anxously. "Lillie!" Lillie turned. "Pika! You're here!" Lillie looked happy that she was there, but still nervous and worried. "F-Follow me!" she said, and dashed off. Pika followed her. Then she opened some doors to a room and stopped inside. Pika stared in shock. Gladion was sitting on the floor with his back against a wall and his eyes closed. He was sweating and had an ice pack on his forehead. Pika stepped towards him and noticed that he was shaking. She turned towards Lillie and gave her a desperate look. She sat next to Gladion and said "Gladion...? P-Pika's here..." He opened his eyes weakly and stared at his sister. Pika sat next to him on his other side. "G-Gladion? Are you... okay...?" He turned his head and stared at her, but didn't say anything. Lillie started crying. "Gladion? Can you... hear me...?" Pika asked desperately. He blinked and tried to speak. "...Pika..." he wheezed. "I... I'm here, Gladion..." she said, and put her hand on his forehead, next to his ice pack. His skin was hot to the touch, and Pika gasped. Lillie gave him a hug, trying to cheer him up a little bit. "D-Don't worry, Gladion... you'll... you'll be okay... r-right, Pika...?" Lillie asked. "Yes, you'll... you'll be okay... I... I promise..." Pika said quietly. Then she wrapped her arms around him in a hug, like Lillie had. He stared at her and seemed to be trying to say something. However, he seemed to be too weak to talk, and he closed his eyes and went limp. Pika pulled him closer to her. "What's going on here?" asked a voice. Lillie and Pika looked up to see Lusamine standing in the doorway, looking baffled. "What are you doing with my son?" she asked, scowling at Pika. "Mother!" Lillie exclaimed. "I-It's Gladion! He's ill!" "What?" "He... he hurt himself and... and he has a fever!" she said, her voice coming out as a squeak. Lusamine looked at the three of them. "Gladion?" Gladion moaned and opened his eyes a little bit. He stared at his mother like she was a complete stranger. "I... I'm trying to help him the best I can, but I... don't really know what I'm doing... but I want him to be okay..." Pika said. Gladion turned towards her and blinked. "He's hurt? And got a fever as a result? I'm sorry, Lillie, but he's obviously faking it." "What?!" both Lillie and Pika cried. "Why would Gladion become so weak? He's never been like this before." "Mother, he's in horrible shape! He's in pain and I don't know what to do!" Lillie cried. "Please do something!" "Like what? How can I cure someone's illness when it's fake?" "He's not faking it!" Pika cried. "He's really hot!" "What?!" Lusamine yelled. "She didn't mean that hot, mother!" Lillie cried, looking a tiny bit embarassed by her mother's mistake. Lusamine seemed to regain her compusure. "Why else would he have an ice pack on his forehead?!" Pika asked angrily. "Are you going along with his act or are you just that gullible?" "He's not faking it!" "Mother, please!" "I'm not going to be involved in this! I don't know what's gotten into him, but he's faking it! It's obvious!" Lusamine said, then turned around and walked away. "Mother!" Lillie cried, in tears. Pika just stared, looking stunned. Gladion stared at Pika intensely. "...You... you..." he muttered. Lillie spun around. "W-What is it, Gladion?" Pika asked. "...You... care... about me..." he said, looking straight at her. "O-Of course I do... you're my friend..." Pika said, tearing up. "...Even... even... after I... rejected your... friendship...?" he asked. "Yes... I've always cared about you, Gladion..." she responded, and hugged him tightly. Lillie stared at them in amazement. After a few seconds, she said "I can't believe mother thinks he's faking it... I don't know what to do..." "Believe me, I don't know what to do either... I'm no doctor..." Pika muttered. "But I'll try to help Gladion the best I can... I have to make him feel better... I just have to..." "Pika... you're acting so... gentle." "I... I am?" "Yes... I'm surprised..." Lillie said, then stared at her brother in shock. Pika looked at him as well. He had fallen asleep in Pika's arms and was snoring gently. "Oh, wow..." Lillie muttered. Pika looked around, seeming a tiny bit unsure of what she should do. Then she gently laid her head on his shoulder. "I can tell... I can tell that he's in good hands... I know you'll help him recover, Pika... even if you're not a doctor..." Lillie said, and smiled.

That night, Pika is staring out the window with a worried look on her face. She doesn't know what she should do to help Gladion. He's peacefully sleeping, but his fever hasn't become any better. Lillie walked into the room and sat down next to her brother, and Pika turned to her and said "I've been here all day, and I haven't done anything to help him. He's not getting any better..." Lillie blinked at her. "Pika, people often don't recover from sicknesses in one day. I think... I think he'll be okay... we just have to wait..." "Yeah, but I wish I could actually help him..." "But you have helped him." "Huh?" "You may not be a doctor with some medicine to cure him, but look at him. When you were talking to him earlier, he was so calm and relaxed...  he trusts you, Pika. He knows you're doing your best to help him. Just... just being there for him is helping him." Lillie said. Pika looked at him. "He cares about you, Pika. Just like you care about him." "But... he always acted like he hated me..." "He... he gets annoyed sometimes, but... I don't really think he hated you. I'm sure he didn't." then Lillie yawned. "Maybe you should get some sleep, Lillie. I'll take care of Gladion. At least... I'll try to." Lillie smiled. "Okay. Good night, Pika." "Good night." Then Lillie left the room. Pika sat next to Gladion, wondering if he'd overheard their conversation. But his eyes were still closed. "He'll get better..." Pika muttered to herself. "He has to."

However, Pika's dance was cut short when N cried "Ghetsis?! You again?!" Everyone turned to see Ghetsis stumbling towards them, a banana peel sliding down his forehead. Pika pointed at him and laughed. Everybody else just stared at him in disgust. "Ugh..." Ghetsis moaned. "What stinks around here?" Everyone glanced at each other, turned to him, and said "You!" Pika laughed so hard she almost fell over. Ghetsis looked at himself and finally noticed that he had trash on him. "You... you little... brats!" he shrieked in rage. "Which one of you threw me into that trash can?!" Everyone blinked at him. They hadn't done it. "A good samaritan, maybe?!" Pika cried, still laughing. Ghetsis was going red with anger. Kylani pulled out a Master Ball and flung it. However, it didn't hit Ghetsis, it hit Lily the Umbreon, who was giving him nasty looks nearby. She was sucked into it. It shook three times... and flashed, showing that Lily had been caught. "Uh... whoops." Kylani said nervously. "Hey! I thought we were going to share!" Pika whined loudly. "How in the world did I catch her?!" Kylani cried. "With a Master Ball!" "But I thought she belonged to Ash still! How did that work?!" "Why are you asking me?!" Ash looked as stunned as Kylani. Suddenly, Ghetsis started screaming at them. "Tie him up, Pika!" Kylani yelled. Pika pulled out a rope and yelled "Charge!" in the blink of an eye, the entire group was trying to hold him down and tie him up as he screeched at them. Soon, their task was complete. Ghetsis was tied up and seething with rage. "Well... what do we do with him?" N asked. "I think we should try to make him nice. If we can, he'll be very helpful, I think." Kylani said. "I think we should throw him off of a cliff. If we do, he'll be very dead and won't bother us, I think." Pika said, with a dorky expression on her face. "...Both of those options are terrible." Gladion muttered. "But... how could we make him nice? He's scary!" Lillie exclaimed. "He won't be scary if it works." Kylani said gently. "He won't be scary if he's at the bottom of a cliff." Pika said. "Pika, we're not gonna throw him off a cliff." "Aw." Gladion looked at Pika and Kylani like they were idiots. "I have no idea how you plan to make that jerk nice, but I'm having no part of it, that's for sure!" "Me neither!" N said. "Why not? If we work together-" "If we work together or not, it doesn't matter! He's a jerk, he's apperently been a jerk, and he's gonna stay a jerk!" Then Gladion and N stormed off angrily. Lillie stared at Pika, Ash, and Kylani for a minute, then dashed off after her brother. "Well... now what?" Ash asked. Pika shrugged. "I was hoping those three would help us..." Kylani said, sighing. "Argh!" Ghetsis screamed. "Shut up." Pika said, snorting. "Your stupid plan will never work! Ever!" Ghetsis shrieked. "Shut your massive head, Ghetsis." "Don't tell me what to do, you tuxedo-wearing brat!" "Uh... what does my tuxedo have to do with this?" "Boy, if you wanna make him nice, you sure got your work cut out for you..." Ash muttered. "Don't tell me you're leaving too!" "Uh..." Ash looked around. "I guess I'm not..." "Okay! Let's get this started!"

Two days later, Pika, Ash, and Kylani are still hard at work. However, it doesn't seem to be working. "Sheesh!" Pika exclaimed. "This'll never work!" Ghetsis was lying on the ground, still tied up, giving them nasty looks. "Yeah... this is much harder than I thought..." Kylani muttered. "I have no idea what to do..." Ash said sadly. Suddenly, Pika's phone started ringing. She pulled it out of nowhere and answered her call. "What's up?" "Pika?" It was Lillie. "Uh... Pika, you need to come to the mansion r-right away." "Why? What's... what's going on?" "G-Gladion's asking to see you..." "W-What's wrong...?" "Gladion, he... he's been badly hurt..." "What?!" "He has an awful fever and... and he's asking to see you..." Lillie seemed to be crying. "I'm coming!" Pika pulled out her Ride Pager and a Charizard came flying towards her and landed next to her. "I need you to fly me to the mansion. Please hurry!" she said, climbing on Charizard's back. Charizard nodded and flew up into the sky, and the two of them soon dissapeared from sight. "...What was that all about?" Ash asked. "I don't know, but it must be something serious if Pika just bolted on us like that..." A look of worry spread across Kylani's face. "What could've happened...?"
