Why is this so accurate for certain formats on Showdown?

Not really. The other main differences concern features that *didn't* exist:
* There was no points requirement for voting, which is the main reason everybody with tons of points is from 2010/11.
* Meta and RMT didn't always exist. I remember a lot of RMT-type content being moved to the RMT section, which Pokemaster would've had to do from the back end.
* The checking and approving feature was disabled until spam started to pick up.
* Wall posts were added in 2013.

An ancient feature of PokeBase allowed you to press a button on an answer saying "ask related question", which would cause that message to appear on your new question.
You can't edit it out because it's not part of the question description at all. It's an attribute attached to the question in the software's database.
