Also Hisuian Avalugg can do a lot of the same things mega steelix does but with a better offensive type and not using the mega slot.

The thing about mega steelix is yeah 125 attack is good but things like Mawile hit way harder. Also body press isn’t great because you already have Superpower on Malamar and having 2 of your big T room attacks being the same type is generally bad.

Oh and dont use steelix. Its attack stat just isn’t strong enough to justify using it without sand support and you already have Torcoal so sand would be a counter synergy.

That can definitely work. Main problem I see are the typical setting up trick room issues and on turn 2 your opponent is free to do whatever which could be a problem if they are using something like Char Y that does absurd damage if it gets a free turn. My advise would be to add Trick room on Malamar so you can lead malamar plus Grim and be able to attack on turn 2. Honestly you could just drop Farigiraf entirely because Incin is the main fake out user in the meta rn and leading Incin into Malamar is bad because Malamar gets the attack boost. Also I’d suggest running mega Malamar because you still under speed most things in T room if you have a speed lowering nature and the added special bulk helps Malamar a ton.
