It's less mod-bias but more of user-bias.
Until a user develops a positive reputation, they don't get upvotes.
If I were to post the exact same thing as Fizz or X, they would get more upvotes than me.
this is why it's so incredibly important to upvote correct posts regardless of who posts them. remember to vote based off of the content, not the user.
