Hey, would you by any chance be willing to trade two of your Type: Nulls on USUM? I need them for a Living Dex, and I can't seem to find a good offer on the GTS. I can trade you a lot in return, so just let me know either way lol

Here's what the thread says:

Vaporeon and Sylveon stifle creativity and introduce tedium to an otherwise fun and unique meta.

"Long time player, first time poster so forgive me if I’m doing this incorrectly. I’ve been back after not playing showdown for almost a decade and I started back up with OU and had a pretty fun time with it. I decided I wanted to check out NU because there I could use mons that aren’t as viable in OU.

I really like this meta-game. Some people are really good players and have really good sets or teams that they beat me with. And then there are the people who just run Vaporeon and Sylveon. Wish/Protect is extremely tedious in a meta that is already slower than the others and both of the previously mentioned pokemon just centralize the meta in a way that’s unfun and punishes those that try to deviate in any way.

You are at a distinct disadvantage if you don’t run a cleric. The cleric just makes the game last 100 turns since you will likely realize that the safest way to actually win against this is just to keep a Pokémon in that can stall out all their heal bells and wishes. Otherwise pokemon you might’ve used to take them out just get statuses before they go back to Wish/Protecting for another 20 turns. It’s not fun or creative and never feels like a gg win or lose.

Stall is a legitimate playstyle and I’m not against stall overall, I just think your actions, predictions, and reads should have more consequences along with payoffs.

Also, I’m not saying teams with these Pokémon are unbeatable. I’m just saying that there’s no real reason to deviate from this playstyle if you want to win. I think if these Pokémon were either suspect tested for RU or it’s made illegal to run Wish/Protect on the same Pokémon, the games would feel like they have higher stakes and have more value overall. Currently they just feel like a slog.

I haven’t quite reached 1400 yet, so I know I’m not the top of the ladder and maybe everyone likes these gauntlet style matches, but maybe some consideration could be put towards the above.

Thanks for reading."

Get a load of this:
I don't think this team is bad, actually! Just watch out for a trick room team, becuse the only slow guy on your team is Shuckle, and he only cripples and sets up harards. For best results, keep him alive to set up some more hazards if your opponent has defog or rapid spin. For Pheromosa, make sure to give it a focus sash, or else the opponent could just use a focus sash themselves, live a hit, and kill you. Use quick attack for maximum effectiveness. Surprisingly, watch out for Sudowoodo when you're using Calrex Shadow. Sudowoodo with max attack evs and sucker punch plus sturdy/focus sash could 2 hit KO ur Calrex. Oh ya. And an attack boosting nature.
You're Zacian Crowned will do well, UNTIL your opponent sends out a focus sash Cinderace with maxed out attack and stuff. Pyro ball downright kills you or it leaves u on very low hp so quick attack can do the cleaning up. Also, if you want Kyogre to have coverage, why specs? It locks you in to one specific move. So you kill one pokemon with thunder. They send out a grass type. What r u gonna do with that while choiced? Huh?
That's it for my answers.
My friend has some suggestions.
1) Give Shuckle a Mental Herb, those Encore/Taunt's can really get to him. You can switch out Knock off for Toxic, but either is fine. 2) Haven't used Phero that much, so I tinkered around and got https://pokepast.es/99e3632997aee12a. 3) I'd also suggest sticking with the common set for Calyrex, https://pokepast.es/f3440808628b87dd. 4) Zacian I would go Jolly to outspeed more pokemon, it doesnt really matter, but I think Jolly works better. 5) I would switch out Gapdos for a defogger, Phero isnt the most reliable hazard remover. 6) All the changes above are put in a final team, https://pokepast.es/4a18373a9d2e17cd

Hope this helped!

ManectricMadness is one of the protagonists of the epic Pokemon Database anime. He likes Normal type wallbreakers, and is pretty cranky sometimes. He makes cool gimmick pokemon sets and is good at NU.

Trivia
- His anger cannot be stopped
- He got removed in Gen 8 but then realized National Dex tiers were a thing so he resides there.
