The ladders for all AG tiers are trash. I haven’t laddered SS since I got 1950, when it was actually easier to get better players, and I recently did a USUM run, got #1 with ~1900, and it’s very bad as a whole. I honestly liked it better last July, when good players were laddering.
How many times have you peaked these ladders though? It’s not a big deal now but yeah

Fun fact: BDSP code was so similar that just changing a couple lines shifted the version to the other. Essentially, you could change your BD into SP if you had the coding knowledge (I'm fairly sure)

boring ladder is trash for everything + the tiers which I play are going through substantial changes so it's difficult to get good players to battle. Though I got pw and it's better now, but yeah it's still not really nice

They better. SwSh were the right step with v.e. gym leaders, but we need more

Fuecoco is trash imo (personal biases for Weed Cat and Donald).
I also do not know who's going to host the next tournament. No one replied showing interest as a host, so it's going to be on the Moderators to choose someone. Anyways I'm going to bump the answer, thanks for reminding.
