In Pokemon Conquest, what is the percentage under the damage number when you are about to attack?

In battle, when you select "Fight" and focus on an enemy, there's a number indicating how much damage the attack might do and below that is a percentage. What is that all about?

Answer 1

The chance your attack has to make contact, so if it says 100% you will mostly hit, if it says something like 40% you will mostly miss.
