Zoroark is da Bossman!

___
With the ability to Illusion, it can really confuse the game. It has Speed and can be used a Special Sweeper in game. I ran this set:

Zoroark:
Trait: Illusion

  • Nasty Plot
  • Dark Pulse
  • Flamethrower
  • Extrasensory

This set is really good as it uses up some of the best moves Zoroark runs, with great coverage from Flamethrower and Psychic, and boosted by Nasty Plot, it can sweep through the game alone. It's Speed stat really supports this set, giving you the best Sweep you need. Zoroark simply outclasses Liepard. The fact that the Zorua you get from Driftveil City is a traded one helps level it up much quicker, too, which is a definite plus. It starts off with decent Special Attack, and then fairly alright Speed and Attack (for an unevolved Pokemon). It evolves at level 30, though, so you don't have to wait too long to get yourself its evolution, Zoroark.
    ___

After evolving, it has very high Special Attack as well as quite high Attack and Speed, but it is very fragile as far as its defensive stats go. Zorua and Zoroark both have the Illusion ability, which causes it to take on the name and appearance of the last Pokemon in your party, so don't adjust your TV set when you see something random sent out in the battle — it's actually your Zorua or Zoroark. This can be used to fool Trainers and is particularly nice if you put a Fighting- or Poison-type Pokemon in your last slot to hopefully cause them to use Psychic-type attacks against your Dark-type, rendering it useless. So that's all I got to say.

Hope I helped :]

Lol I started typing when you answered, hope you don't mind Flare xD
Nope, not at all ;)
It took you 19 minutes to answer o_O :P
Zoroark can't learn Psychic.
I did my research. Thats why it took so long.

Well let's compare them.

Liepard
Liepard
BST: 446
Moveset Pool: Not too bad, a nice variety in special and physical attacks.
Abilities: Limber and Unburden are both nice abilities. Unburden works very well if you can give Liepard a gem. Limber is nice to prevent those extremely annoying paralysis haxes.

So all in all Liepard has good stats for speed sweeping. 106 base speed and 88 in both special and physical attack stats so you can either have a mixed attacker or you can focus on a specific attack.

Now for Zoroark.

Zoroark
Zoroark
BST: 510
Moveset Pool: Zoroark has like Liepard a fairly decent movepool. A nice mix in both special and physical attacks.
Abilities: Illusion with the right strategy can work wonders ingame. So long as you know how to use it you can effectively gain an extra turn to destroy your opponent.

105 base speed, so not to different from Liepard. You can have all the speed but with some much higher attack stats. 105 in attack and 120 in special attack.

All in all I would go for Zoroark, especially with that ability. Liepard is decent but Zoroark just has it outclassed.

Kinda depends on what role you want to fill in your team. If you need a sweeper, go for Zoroark, but if you need an annoyer, go for Liepard. It makes a brilliant annoyer with Prankster; it's lacking Whimiscott's Leech Seed, but the Swagger and Foul Play combo is good enough.

Liepard @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Def, 4 Sp. Def
Nature: Calm/ Impish
- Swagger
- Thunder Wave/ Encore
- Foul Play
- Substitute

However, Liepard is lacking in any offensive presence, and is dealt with by a Mach Punch form Technitop. Still, its substitute can be hard to break, and used correctly, Liepard has the ability to KO an entire team just through haxing.

For Zoroark, you have the option of either a choiced sweeper or a nasty plot sweeper. Zoroark will deal actual damage, rather than troll with with Prankster.

Zoroark @ Choice Scarf/ Life Orb/ Leftovers
Ability: Illusion
EVs: 252 Sp. Atk, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Nature: Modest/ Timid
- Dark Pulse/ Night Daze
- Flamethrower
- Extrasensory
- U-Turn/ Nasty Plot

OR (physical set)

@ Choice Scarf
Ability: Illusion
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Nature: Jolly/ Adamant
- Foul Play
- Punishment
- Low Kick
- U-Turn

Zoroark has the option of being either a physical or special Pokemon. While many people use it for its base 120 Sp.Atk, its 105 Atk shouldn't be overlooked.

Punishment is a better move than it seems, what with calm mind stallers so prevalent in UU/ OU. Foul Play is brilliant for Pokemon like Choice Moxie Salamence, which will continue to sweep your team unless you have something that is immune to its move. Its physical set is usually for clean up/ late game/ counter sweeping. Zoroark also makes a lead, being to scout and U-Turn out.

Conclusion: if you want a good dark sweeper, go for Zoroark. If you already have the sweeping roles filled and the coverage you need on your team, go for Liepard. People think that Liepard is just another NU Pokemon, but it can function just as well as Whimsicott in stalling/ annoying your opponent.

I don't know what the rest of your team is, so I can't exactly say "xxx will be better for your team". However if this is in game, use your Zoroark, since Prankster is a DW ability for Liepard, and Zorua is easily obtained in Driftveil City.

This is in game...
I didn't think it was that obvious that it was in-game. Still, no harm in giving the competitive analysis.
He doesn't want a competitive analysis.
omg just pick ur fave one?
