This is for the senior users: Can i ask "What is a good LC movest for Woobat?", or should i just post here??
I would just post here. I hate the LC questions, since they just take up room, copy from smogon, and are given best answer because they are asked by users who are not as clear on the rules.

So, it evolves through friendship. I've always thought that weird of Crobat. And what is with that eye?!? How the hell can it see?!? Echolocation? Or is this guy going to be seen dead next to a lot of houses because he flew into the walls?

Ability: Simple

EVs: Speed, Sp Attack, HP Nature: Timid

Assist Power: This moveset makes use of Simple to the max. Ultimate power for sure after just a few Calm Minds.

Calm Mind: With Simple, doubles special attack and special defense. Incredible, making Assist Power great.

Air Slash: Anybody want to tell me why Pokemaster chose Air Cutter when this move is tons better? Speaking of which, two Psychic type moves? Strange moveset coming from Pokemaster.

Thunder Wave: Hopefully you can paralyze the foe, otherwise you might as well fail against every physical attack.

Assist Power is Stored Power in the old Japanese translation.

It has great speed so any moveset should utilise that. Kokoromori could be devastating in the UU tier.

EVs: Speed and SpAtk

  • Psychic
  • Psycho Shock (for high-SpDef pokemon)
  • Air Cutter
  • Energy Ball or Endeavor

Item: Choice Specs (or Focus Sash could prove useful with Endeavor)

It's actually pretty good when used in the right way.

Ability: Unaware (ignores enemy stat changes) Item: Twisted Spoon/Miracle Seed

EVs/IVs: Sp. Attack, Speed, HP Nature: Modest (+ Sp. Attack - Attack)

Calm Mind: Overall this is an excellent move for Swoobat, obviously beneficial for Sp. Attack and helps cover for Swoobat's poor Sp. Defense.

Psychic: (STAB) Really self-explanatory, due to the fact that Swoobat is Sp. Attack oriented and Psychic is the best Psychic move there is. However, you lose the benefit of your opponent's Sp. Defense decreasing because of Unaware.

Flatter/Swagger: Requires breeding with Nidoran (male) or Nidorino for Flatter. The ability Unaware takes out the risk of increasing the foes Attack or Sp. Attack since it allows the user to ignore stat changes in the opponent, while the opponent hurts itself as it would normally under Flatter/Swagger. Flatter is recommended over it's counterpart Swagger because Flatter has a higher chance of succeeding (100% accuracy) than Swagger (90% accuracy) and can hit ghost types, while Swagger cannot. However Swagger might be better though because it makes the opponent hurt itself more.

Air Slash/Energy Ball: A reliable Flying-type move (STAB), not much else too it. Energy Ball is good for covering Swoobat's Rock-type weakness. However, it is the same as Psychic in terms of losing the benefit of your opponents Sp. Defense decreasing because of Unaware.

Swoobat (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Simple
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Charge Beam
- Psyshock
- Air Slash
- Energy Ball

Charge Beam gets some great clean up kills. and it has a good chance to double his special attack ( thanks to simple ).

psyshock is his primary STAB. i prefer it over psychic for breaking through so many special threats. air slash is special STAB. it also has an annoyingly good flinch rate.. ( the numbers lie.. I promise you )

Energy Ball is finally some solid coverage. takes care of things like quagsire and gastrodon in the water department that charge beam can't hit.

Calm Mind boost Sp. Atk and Sp.Def by 2 with simple as ability and Charge Beam does little damage and boost Sp. Atk by 2 if the Pokemon has the ability simple.

Air Slash/Psychic: Good Moves, Choose Your STAB

Charge Beam/Shadow Ball/Thunder Wave: Charge Beam for More Raising SA while doing Damage, Ball for Obvious Reasons, or Thunder Wave to help set up Calm Mind. You Could Also Throw in a Secong STAB Move here, but.............

Swoobat perplexes me.
They basically tried to take Xatu and make it somewhat decent, and f-ed up somewhere along the way.
They have a crap ton of weaknesses, or at least I think so, that can't all be countered in 3 or 4 moves. But I tried my best slapping one together.

And oh sweet baby Arceus help me with this moveset.
I went ahead and put on Super Fang, which yeah, is physical, but if it hits, it cuts the target's HP in half. Kinda good if the opponent has a staller or a tank.
I just chose Calm Mind for the second move. Simple will boost the stat changes.
Then you could do Psychic or Psyshock. Both use Sp Atk, but Psychic deals special while Psyshock deals physical.
Finally, I slapped on Air Slash. Mediocre, and may flinch.

The hardest part was finding an appropriate item, so I got lazy, and I picked Wise Glasses. :p

Odor Sleuth (To Super Fang Ghost-types/evasive foes)
Trick (give for your Toxic Orb, proceed to use Venom Drench)
Venom Drench (Lowers ATT, SPATT, and SPD of poisoned foe by 1 stage each/increases your longevity)

Note that, 1v1, this set fails against Ghosts that are also part Poison or Steel, like Aegislash or Gengar, as well as any Steel or Poison-types.

I found a Woobat in a hidden grotto and it was cursed with a Jolly nature! But I’ll make the most of it.
