Now this is different. I see a lot of hidden ability blaziken (speed boost) with protect. And yea, it’s OP, being able to deal MASSIVE damage, whilst out speeding is very good. Here is my counter to it.

Cofagrigus @ Leftovers
Ability: Mummy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def
Bold Nature
- Haze
- Mean Look
- Protect
- Curse

On the first turn, you curse, this’ll cripple it, and most blaziken strategies are protecting the first turn, and curse just so happens to go through protect.
Every 2nd turn, you protect. This’ll give you some health back (because of leftovers), and on the second turn, you’ll have an 8th of your health back already.
Mean look, in case your opponent decides to switch, and cofagrigus already has high def, so no need to panic if you’re worried you won’t tank a hit.
Haze, always think of the worst that can happen, and they DO kill cofagrigus, so haze, then bring in your fire / fighting counter safely; they won’t have speed boost anymore, because —this is where the ability comes in— it’s ability becomes mummy, due to COFAGRIGUS’s ability.
Hope this helps

I’m flabbergasted and utterly confused as to why nobody before me used this.
Cofagrigus@ Leftovers/sitrus berry
Ability: Mummy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Quiet Nature
- Shadow hall
- Trick room
- Body press
- Curse/destiny bond/anything you find useful on your team.
Shadow ball: literally the only good STAB that makes use of its decent spA stat.
Trick room: make use of your low speed stat, outspeeds basically anything, honestly.
Body press: cofagrigus has a CRACKED defense stat, so you can erase dark type threats like kingambit and others from the battlefield.
last slot: you could go with curse for continual damage, which would also knock you into sitrus range, or you could put destiny bond to use right before you die. You can pick a move depending on your playstyle.
I know this is VERY late and coffin here came out a long time ago, but I just scrolled through the sets and saw no one was using body press, so I had to address that.
