This guy has started to grow on me, quite literally. He got really fat. What happened to the tiny little monkey? But seriously, I kind of like this guy. I even have two movesets for him.

Ability: Blaze

EVs: Sp Attack, Speed, HP Nature: Modest

Nasty Plot: Incredible.

Grass Knot: Since most Water, Rock, and Ground types that you will face are heavy, this move works great in taking down weaknesses.

Flamethrower: Powerful STAB. One of the reasons why a Fire starter is usually better than a Grass starter.

Focus Blast: Type coverage.

Actually, I quite like this moveset...
I also like this moveset.
grass is much better
Since when are most Water types heavy?
*cough* gen 5 meta *cough*
Smogon suggested Grass Knot on Simisear in Gen 5, for this reason:

> Hidden Power Grass or Grass Knot can be used to get rid of Water-types, depending on whether Simisear wants reliable damage against all Water-types such as Gorebyss and Alomomola or slightly stronger hits on heavier Water-types such as Samurott and Seismitoad, but aren't too useful outside of that and Fire + Grass is resisted by Fire-types and Dragon-types.

People used Grass Knot more because Hidden Power Rock was more reliable than Hidden Power Grass, and heavy water types were common in Simisear's tier back in BW. (when this answer was posted)

Another moveset:

Ability: Gluttony

EVs: Attack, HP, Speed Nature: Adamant

Natural Gift: Held item Liechi Berry, which means a Grass attack with 80 base power. Gluttony also means you will get an attack boost at 50% health.

Recycle: Allows for use of Liechi Berry with Attack raising or Natural Gift.

Substitute: Protects Baokki while it subs, and also makes for quicker attack boost from the Liechi Berry.

Fire Punch: STAB.

Simisear (F) @ Salac Berry

Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)

Physical Sweeper:

Simisear (M) @ Choice Band

Trait: Blaze

EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd

Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

  • Fire Punch
  • Brick Break
  • Crunch
  • Acrobatics

Pretty much the same situation as Simisage, Needs Choice Band to be affective with damage, and Jolly gives him good speed.

Special Sweeper:

Simisear (M) @ Focus Sash

Trait: Blaze

EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd

Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

  • Flamethrower
  • Nasty Plot
  • Hidden Power [Grass]
  • Focus Blast

Basically, I agree with Dt, but I wanted to put in my item nature, Ev's Etc.

"Jungle Fever" Simisear
Ability: Gluttony
Flame Burst: Stab, decent power and useful in double/triple battles.
Yawn: Nighty-night!
Grass Knot: Weaknesses? What weaknesses?
Brick Break: Slight weakness coverage, destroys any pesky walls(Reflect, light screen).

Note: Keep in mind this Pokemon is meant to be used with the other two monkeys, whose movesets I have posted on their questions.

Simisear (M) @ Fire Gem
Trait: Gluttony
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Lonely Nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Overheat
- Acrobatics
- Rock Slide
- Crunch

Fire gem and Overheat mesh well together. Giving a super high powered fire attack to launch off the battle can be of great use.

Acrobatics is substantially more powerful now that you've let go of your items.

Rock slide just promotes overall coverage. Crunch does the same.

This is one of my preferable short battle strategies.

Ability:Blaze(not important really)
Item:Heat rock/scope lenses
Nature; modest (+SpAtk -Atk) EV 252 SpAtk 252 speed.
Sunny day/hone claws-Increase fire moves and lets you use Solarbeam in one turn which is pretty epic.Increase accuracy (not bothered about Atk boost)
Fire blast-most powerful STAB bonus that Simi can learn. BOOYAH!! (sorry I had to:)) Low accuracy.
Focus blast-nice power cover move.Low accuracy(now you know why we needed Hone claws)
Solar Beam-THE coverage move for Simi against ground, water AND ground!Nice power too!
Thanks for reading :)

First you must have a Bulky Pokemon so he can put sunny day...
or Ninetales with Drought...
Next try to have a Pokemon that can put the opponent sleeping so you can put you SIMISEAR and give some Nastly Plot (Egg move- Zoroark)
Then you will take advantage to the sunlight and start the Simi Rampage:
Nastly Plot!
Focus Blast!
I hope you enjoy! :D
By the way EV train SPEED (FULL- 331) AND SP.Attack( 295)
