Ok so I know that if you and your friend are online at the same time then the Pokemon that appear will have their hidden ability but, does this mean online as in the PSS or online on the 3DS?
Online on the 3DS. I know because I know for a fact that one of my friends wasnt online on the PSS and I caught a Overgrow Pansage from his Safari Zone.
